Dontavious Jackson and McCollough have always said that they wanted to play together. A&M has a shot when Jackson was heading OOS, but it looks like he is leaning back to Texas.

Saying he was never a good recruiter, he's lazy, he's incompetent, he should have been fired, etc.

I tend to agree. We've thrown away the next two years and the talent from the 2014-2015 classes

We're committed... to fighting for 4th in our division.

There's literally nothing that can be done to help matters short of the NCAA declaring that anyone that signs with t.u. or Ole Miss loses 3 years of eligibility.

Still trying to find any one of the parts of this sentence that's false followed by any evidence to support it.

this here is the main reason i don't follow recruiting as much as i used to.

you get emotionally attached to these prima donnas, get mad that they choose other schools, you lose grip of the long term outlook.

winning more than 9 and beating some teams we are not supposed to would turn the tide. and not shite the bed in week 5. we'll see. no reason to get all PMS on sumlin in the 9th inning of this recruiting cycle.

It sounds to me like we still look good with Jackson, Oliver and the rest of our current commits.

And know whom to keep after: Hansford; Giles; and Lewis. All 3 of these guys can help us. That's good.

Is Lewis not seeing eye to eye with the new DC in Baton Rouge, or just a case of a fickle recruit?

I'm not emotionally attached to any of the recruits in this cycle.

I am emotionally attached to the program winning and moving forward, we all are or we wouldn't be on this site. It's not happening.

I was a big sumlin fan, but he's squandered a huge opportunity. He's been given more to work with than any coach in a&m history, and a floundering rival in Austin, literally his entire time here.

He's mishandled recruiting, PR, coaching hires and his relationships with key players for two years. All of his supposed strengths as a CEO of the program.

What is Sumlin's strength?

Oh yeah, he's an offensive guru* as well.

The program has the factilities, support, region, media coverage and conference affiliation to finish with a top 15-20 class with minimal effort or leadership.

Recruiting is the long term outlook. What data do we have to assume Sumlin can succeed without top level recruits?

None of that can possible have any impact on February 3rd, 2016.

We're going to get QD back. I think our class will be fine. That doesn't make me feel much better about the "long term outlook".

we are ranked around 18 for most recruiting services, likely will finish Top15. it's not elite but hardly mishandled man.

PR? eh. he has been that way and hasn't changed. at least he sounds genuine and easy to connect with. I listen to Charlie strong or Briles and they seem pretty fake.

relationship with players...Murray was all in it for himself. Allen or Allen's parents really like Spav which is pretty shortsighted in the long run. Anyone else? Myles, Swope, Mack, RSJ all like Sumlin. but these guys are all mature athletes.

The thing he miscalculated was Spav, because he had faith in him.respectable, but he was wrong. well that's over, lets hope Mazzone can turn the tide.
