Yeah I expect him to jump big in all the rankings when they're redone. He is an elite athlete and projects really well into a spread offense like ours

Did you see Burtons new RB rankings? He had Anderson at like 5th in the state

I think I saw them but can't remember. He has amazing vision but he doesn't have elite speed or the ability to cut on a dime. So he doesn't have that wow factor and it's probably why Burton discounts him.
It's his ability without the ball that makes him special. He would honestly be the best FB in state this year, probably the #2 TE behind Davis, and a top 5 slot WR. And we'll use him in all those ways. He's pretty much the ideal for our offense.

it's definitely amusing, but honestly when you look at his SPARQ and size, I hope we're looking hard at him. Could be an amazing LB

Yea, I was hoping LSU would leave Merritt alone since they got Fournette last year, Nick Brossette this year, and more than likely going to to land Guice as well...where would Merritt go? But his numbers and film are insane as we all know and LSU recently offered anyway. Then his dad posts on tigerdroppings so that's like having an in-family recruiter. Odds are stacked against us but I hope we can really convince that kid we are a better fit because I think we are, especially after Varshaun Nixon left us for TCU. I'm confident that Spavital can maximize his versatility both as a runner or receiver because LSU sure as he'll won't.

Manvel hs has been a tremendous pipeline of talent for us last couple years, would love to keep that going with Anderson.

weird. Figured he'd wait it out and try to earn more offers. I'm certain if he camped this summer he'd get more looks. Just so hard to project guys from 1A ball

and there it is. Nobody ever likes to talk about these things but it was pretty obvious something was going on. Hope he gets his life together
