He makes Sumlin look short. ESPN measured him at 6'3" 213. And he participated in one of their combines so I'd say that's pretty legit though he may have grown an inch or so since. He'll naturally put on another 20 pounds in the next few years.

got a little clarification from the text I got yesterday ("expect a commit shortly"). Apparently a recruit requested more info on the staff's expectations of commits (most likely visit related). I guess I interpret that differently. I agree it's a positive sign but disagree it means a commit is imminent.

Yeah, he's pretty good. We really don't have that many offers out. We're taking 3 CBs most likely and have 1 committed
CB Sheffield - we wait for him no matter what
CB X Lewis - heavy LSU lean. We have a shot but not a very likely one imo
CB Holton Hill - same as X except likely going to tu
CB Josh Butler - I don't believe this is commitable any more. He's a smaller type and with DCS on board, we don't want 2 like that
That's pretty much our board right now. Then you have Boyd out there and others like Roney Elam at Newton (the guy LSU first offered) whose recruiting is now starting to take off as Baylor and MSU have also offered.
If we offer Black imo it's because we don't think we're getting Lewis or Hill and we don't want to wait for Boyd to show progress, because Black may well commit.
