Did good at South Alabama, doing decent at Coastal Carolina. Got to some sweet sixteens at Clemson and Auburn. May not be as much of a slam dunk as y'all are hoping for, though, with his age.

Gottfried would be a good hire if you could swing it, IMO.

Did Cliff do something bad I'm not aware of? If he can get USA ranked in the top 10 and a sweet sixteen at Auburn, I'd imagine he'd do just fine at UT.

I'm not saying he should be your #1 choice but as someone said earlier, the market sucks now for basketball coaches.

FWIW, I do think UT would be dumb as hell to not at least call Pearl and see if something could be worked out. Should be their first call.

Cliff is a dinosaur. He's a good coach but he's too old. He's 70 years old and he's had major NCAA infractions at Auburn.

Gottfired is just not a good coach. He gets NBA level players somehow and then underachieves with them and goes to the NCAAT occasionally.

I was all in favor of getting wade last year and I hope we get him this year.
