I've been to tons of games at UGA and never seen an opposing fan attacked. I have seen some frat boys beat each others arse a time or two. I've never been there the night before so maybe it's different than the day of but I'd imagine if you're pretty chill you'll get invited to just about any tailgate that you chose.

The few older guys that were downtown were phenomenal
I’ve been to Tuscaloosa, Columbia, Starkville, Gainesville, and Athens
Gainesville was fricking awful but that’s about it
The rest were great Athens since they’re so easy on fakes just had way too many 18 year olds running around. Maybe I just went to the wrong spots and couldn’t find the older crowd

I've only been to Athens once for a game, but never had any issue with Georgia fans. The only A-Holes that I've run into have been with some of their fans who came to Knoxville. I had one friend who was punched in the face by a Georgia fan as he walked past him in a parking lot. My friend didn't say a word to him...they literally had no interaction until the punch.
Every fanbase has somebody stupid enough to try to fight someone because of the color clothing they are wearing. Usually, if you aren't belligerent, people may rib you a little bit...but for the most part, they will let you be.
