Because we are going to fire him and hire who exactly? Saban? Meyer? Harbaugh? Lmfao.. no, some mid major coach and be the same shite. No one is begging to come to tn

I am not happy with where we currently stand
I have no reason to believe our current coach will change where we currently stand
Therefore I don't see what we have to lose by making a change.
No major coaches are gonna come here? Ok do you realize how those guys became major coaches? Someone took a chance
Utah took a chance on Meyer and some would say so did Florida
Michigan state took a chance on Saban
Stanford took a chance on Harbaugh
Oh and don't forget, back in 1992 Tennessee took a chance on a guy named Phillip Fulmer
Just bc we can't get the reincarnation of Vince Lombardi doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try to improve. If it doesn't work out then it doesn't workout but if you are truly content with 8 wins and not ever even winning the division then I just don't understand you and don't believe you understand the places this program has been

Sitting head coaches
Mike Norvell, Memphis-he is the real deal per someone not affiliated with Memphis and has observed several practice sessions as a high school coach at the D1 level at numerous schools in the south. "As close to Saban with how practice is run, attention to detail, etc. Knows exactly what needs to get accomplished each day. Players listen and respond to him."
Justin Fuente, VT
Coordinators
Brett Venables, Clemson - would need to find a good OC

I'd be happy to have any of the three, especially Norvell
I think it'd be pretty hard to get Fuente
For a second I want to be clear: Butch is far from destined to be fired right now and honestly I'd be surprised if he is. I'm not even sure 7-5 would get him canned so all my talk about future coaches is just pure speculation in case we get the miracle we deserve of his termination

I can see why him and BUSA have hit it off

How 'bout we just curb stomp 'bama and call it a season.

I'll never root for us to lose but I think I'm willing to take a 5-7 or 6-6 season if it means someone else is leading us through the T in 2018

That Hail Mary was telling to me. I just didn't give a damn. Surprised myself.
Going to cheer to win but I don't care if we lose. I don't think Butch is going to be here much longer regardless of how the rest of the year goes. Doesn't have the mental makeup to handle a job at this level.

If you are that miserable watching football then stop watching. i will take tennessee winning 8 games this year over them winning 5 or 6 to fire a coach and hire another one to do the same thing we are doing now. Get a life kid
I'm perfectly content with life..thanks for your concern.
And in no way miserable watching (well other than than the fact that Butch got severely outcoached by Butter Teeth) I just expect better out of a storied program than being satisfied with mediocrity. Lyle's recruiting classes have never landed outside the top 15 nationally, yet he takes these 4 and 5 stars and coaches them down to 2 and 3 star levels and hasn't been close to finishing that high in the final rankings.
If 8 wins is satisfactory to you, you are satisfied with annual losses to Florida, Georgia, Bama and some other school who has no business beating UT on a regular basis. (and that's starting to look like Vandy)

Norvell is the next goat.
That is infinitely better than this:

Lol same. 5 years ago I would've blown up into a fit of redneck rage.
As soon as I saw Cleveland get behind Abernathy and the camera started zooming in as the ball was on it's way down, I quietly put my face in my hands, heard Nesslers's call and sat there for a solid two minutes. I then calmly walked outside, sat on my back deck staring at the trees for a solid 15 minutes and slowly sipped a domestic light beer.

lol I didn't say a word, and sat there for a solid 10 minutes watching the celebrations, replays, and Mac's near silent post game interview.
It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, I've never felt anything like it

It's liberating to say the least. I'm at the point now with Butch where I was with Dooley after the 2012 Gators game.
I can't believe I let him suck me back in after all the collapses in 2015 but I will not be fooled again
