My brother wants to know a good place we can park our car to setup our tailgate, grill, etc.?

You've mentioned Calhouns and we'll certainly check out that place, but is there a popular parking lot that we can gain access to? How early would we need to arrive to find a parking spot in a tailgating area?

Do we need passes to get into a parking lot tailgating area?

We want to be around Mizzou and Tennessee fans, but we have no idea where the popular parking lot tailgating areas are.

Please advise.

Keep your fellow Mizzou monkeys, specifically Jesus Quintana, in line. And maybe I'll help you out.

I've always heard that Tennessee fans were very hospitable and helpful.

I guess Killz and lil'Killz will simply drive downtown and try to locate the sea of black and gold to dock our ship.

Thanks anyhow!

Are you planning to actually tailgate, like a tent and shite?

We were hoping to setup a traditional tailgate. You know, park your car in a tailgating parking lot amongst several hundred fans, shotgun shite tons of beer, grill ribs and brats, throw the football, shoot the shite with good natured fans, etc.

Does that not exists in Knoxville?

Serious question.

It definitely does, but I haven't participated in years.

It 100% does, but I'm not exactly sure where visiting fans usually set up. I just tailgated at the First Tennessee parking lot right on the strip. Usually I'm at Calhoun's. Both have the usually visitor, but not many.

I think 13th Street garage is a good one? Not positive though. I've never tailgated in one of the garages.

The key to get a spot to any of them is to get there early. Even for a 7pm game, people start setting up at 7am.

If all else fails, The Carousel is a good fall back option.

the following information was posted by an LSU fan on the secrant. Is his information accurate? Are you familiar with the tailgating places that he recommends?

quote:

Mizzoukills, I cant respond to your post on the TN board because they won't grant me access. You can tailgate at the corner of white ave and 14th. It's nice and flat. 25 bucks the smaller lot at the DRs office you can back in and have all the room behind and in front of your car and its easier to get out of than the lot across the street

When I was in school, I used to get UT alerts at least once a week about somebody getting raped or mugged at 12th & white.
