The last time we were 5-0, I was like 9 years old. This is basically unprecedented territory for most of us. I don't know what to do with my hands

I didn't even live in the states in until 2003, this is the first season where Tennessee has had the feeling of being nationally important. It's incredible

It feels good, hopefully Hurd learned to keep his head on a swivel and not take shite for granted.

1998 and 2016 teams have a lot of similarities. Dual threat QB's, both started off the season with a close win, both broke losing streaks over Florida, both won a game off a miracle play

I guess you young'ins are familiar with previous best miracle, against Arky in 1998.

Someone has taken the CBS feed and put on the John Ward/Bill Anderson radio feed.

I used to always turn off the TV feed and listen to the radio when I could. John Ward did the UT football and basketball commentary for 31 years. He retired after the 1998 season. He was from Knoxville and he still lives there. He was just a fabulous announcer for us. He was a lot better than Munson.

UT vs ARKY

Another vid of the same thing.

Brian Burlsworth # 77 for Arky did a miracle knock of Al Wilson out of bounds on the blocked FG. Later, Billy Ratliffe knocked Burlsworth backwards so Stoener could trip over his foot.

The movie about Burlsworth is out lately. He was tragically killed just a few months later driving as I recall to the rehearsal dinnner for his wedding.

If you know all this, I don't know you know it. Great stuff though.

This game was interrupted by news reports of the US bombing in Iraq, which was a maddening thing to have happen.

Bob Kesling, who does the radio now is fabulously average. He was the ABC affiliate sports guy when I was at UT.
