Screw it. I had a long well thought out post that broke it down on offense and defense. The abridged version...

D got put in bad situations, still did ok but need to tighten up. App state is last years BG. BG had a really good passing attack and hung 30 on us. AS has a really good rushing attack. They hung 2 tds on us, one with a short field from the muffed punt.

Difference is our offense sucked this game.
CT killed 2 drives with penalties. Kendrick another.
4 fumbles. One lost, one recovered for a td but two others that killed drives.
Get the O line in order and we'll be fine.

Went though this last year after BG.

Having been a fan through the PFM years when we were dominant we still had games where we played down to the competition. See Nov 9th and 30th 1996, Sept 25th 1999, Nov 4th 2000, Sep 6th 2003

Don't panic (yet)
Wait until VT to get an idea of this teams identity.

I agree 100%. One kinda positive I take away from the game is we were able to play absolutely AWFUL against a quality opponent and still come away with a W. That wouldn't have been able to happen the last 7 years or so

One more thing for the ranters lurking here

Also, Liberty is taking it to VT at the moment

For my Vol brethren. Just think about how much sweeter the melt will be if/when we beat the brakes off our SEC counterparts after this. This is a win.
