Clemson…a serious program?

It seems like many think Clemson along with FSU would be obvious candidates for the next two SEC teams if the conference expanded. I get FSU, but why Clemson? Yes, they had a great run under Dabo, but what else do they offer?

They are not near a major TV market and are not even the state flagship school. Bizarre traditions, like a goofy looking mascot and they pound a rock they have to take a bus ride to before every game.
