I think the next big thing for any of the sites to do is to buy MaxPreps or Hudl to get the stats/highlight films connected to the players that are supplied by the schools/coaches/team moms/handlers.

Recruiting rankings are not real. They are for entertainment. There are way too many high school athletes to rank them all. There are a 2 or 3 kids at each position every year that are a cut above the rest, but after that there is not a discernable difference between most of the D1 caliber kids after that.

I agree with the full game, but disagree with in person. Coaches film from both angles is best (endzone and sideline). Knowing you're there kids react differently I'd rather see through the eye in the sky. The caveat is as long as it's quality film which is sometimes harder to get from small schools.

Rarely can you trust rankings. The top 5 players in each class are typically easy to peg because they are just built different than everyone else.
The difference in the #50 and #300 kid is marginal.

I know the point you are trying to make but in 2012 the #50 player was Leonard Williams and the #300 player was some dude named Darius English.

Amari Cooper was also #45 in that class.

Nick has really had a busy year and has not had a chance to talk to all the services...... yet.

This should be a clue.
