By the way this cat went to Vandy for the same reason some of the other recruits followed Franklin to Penn St.

Did you take what I said wrong or something. Dude is a beast, and had great offers. He had plenty of bling on as well. WTF is wrong with you?

Coach Mason said he would not try and flip Stanford commits to Vandy. He did say that if Vandy was already recruiting the kid that he would continue with that recruitment. In Franklin's case they were mostly never recruited by Penn State before he left.

So do you really believe Vandy was heavily recruiting him and a consideration of the recruit before Mason arrived? Nothing indicates that is the case. If you have something to back that up please link it.

According to 24/7, Lealao had the following activity:
9/15/12 - Unofficial visit - Stanford
9/16/12 - Offer - UCLA
10/6/12 - Unofficial visit - Cal
10/6/12 - Offer - Cal
1/23/13 - Offer - Utah
1/23/13 - Offer - Boise St.
2/26/13 - Offer - Wisconsin
5/8/13 - Offer - Arizona St.
5/8/13 - Offer - Fresno St.
9/13/13 - Commits - Stanford
1/10/14 - Visit - Stanford
1/17/14 - Official visit - Cal
1/23/14 - Decommits - Stanford
1/31/14 - Official visit - Vandy
2/5/14 - Commits - Vandy
Looks like he visited Stanford right before Mason left and never received any interest from Vanderbilt until after Mason took over after Franklin's departure.

Exactly and he only started trending on crystal ball picks in January. He didn't have one for Vandy up till then.
Like I said, he followed a coach to Vandy when he was hired there.

His SAT was just slightly too low to get into Stanford and he was denied admission (actually happened to a couple of their commits). If he had got in I imagine he would have signed with Stanford on NSD, he didn't though and reopened his recruitment. Family had a familiarity with Mason, DC Koto and DL Coach Tata all coming from Stanford and it was a good fit for him.

Heard he is a two-sport athlete, also. Heckuva catcher prospect.

As I've said a million times, if recruits want to follow a coach, that's fine. The Franklin issue was that all signs indicate he was recruiting for PSU on Vandy's money. The Nifae to Vandy situation unfolded much more slowly, so I'd be more inclined to believe Nifae contacted Mason or Mason at least waited to be hired officially before contacting him. It's likely, given the speculation about his sexual orientation, Nifae felt more comfortable with a coaching staff he knows well.
