Why would a DLineman want to play in a run heavy league
He had 5 solo tackles against UGA. Pretty good for a DL.
Playing against Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, GT and the like might help his draft stock.
According to pff, he graded out better against the run than any of our 2017 DL.
He's going to play. Like most teams, we run through the 2 deep consistently.

That's more than the number of TFL he has on his career. Is he really even a good run stopper?

Why are you so concerned about it? He adds depth. That is why we added him.

I'm excited just because it was a position of need.
Exactly why we added him.

A lot more to being a good run stopper than TFL. Holding the point of attack and eating up blocks is more important.

Thats true. A good NT doesn't show up much on the stat sheet. A good SDE still needs to be able to make some plays though.

Pro football focus graded him out well last year if you trust their take.

I do. Hard to argue with what they put out when they put so much into it.
