I think you are wrong on this. He's one of the most recognized names in MS football -- has 2 Super Bowl rings -- is a local hero in Batesville, and well, well known and respected name nationally.
We're already seeing a major recruiting boost -- how many commitments it turns into is anyone's guess. But most of the elite-level prospects we're still pursuing are DBs...and have unanimously loved the hire.

I'd only want him back for the noise I could talk about it -- As a player, his recruitment has been blown way the F out of proportion for how good he actually is.
I'm happy with Donald Gray and happy about the trade-off...

Note the use of the word WOULD!! Not Could, but WOULD.
Note the sentence "he knows Townsend PRETTY WELL"
Now how would they know each other.. Oh yeah, it's because Townsend goes to SP 7 on 7s.
