The curse of Texas recruits?

Something is amiss with elite Texas recruits.
When UT was the top dog in Texas they built their teams primarily with highly ranked Texas recruits. They proceeded to do jack shite with that talent outside of their year with Vince 'once in a generation' Young.
Now Texas A&M has tried to do the same thing and has seen less than stellar results. One might even say they are imploding despite having a wealth of Texas talent on their roster.
So is their something in the water near Mexico? Has a curse been put on the elite Texas recruits?
Honestly I think it has to do with the spread systems those elite Texas recruits come from. They come out of school more developed and a lot closer to their talent ceiling than your average player from other states. Then whichever school in the state is considered top dog is almost forced to sign those top players out of Texas.
Eta talking about a school building their roster out of primarily Texas recruits. Not a school that takes a handful of Texas recruits.

That's an amazing chalk drawing. Assuming a restaurant in Fayetville? Wonder how long that took to make.

It's actually at a Brewery in Tuscaloosa. Bert's Christmas gift to Alabama was 4th and 25.

he was a beast and a big part of the 06 team
i thought it might pick up with muschamp but it never did waste of time recruiting there imo at least for fla

Yea not talking about a school taking a handful of Texas recruits. Seems like every school does that. Those schools have a lot of talent on their roster from other states.

Oklahoma hasn't won a national title since UT was relevant. Highly unlikely they do it this year as a 4 seed.
Plus Oklahoma has numerous recruits from other states not named Texas.
TCU and Baylor could be used as exceptions to the rule. But both are stuck on the same level as A&M.

This is stupid, rivals had an article 2 weeks ago that there where kids from Texas in the CFB playoff than anyother outside state.
Notre Dame and Stanford especially have tons of Texas kids, your argument is dumb since Oklahoma, Oklahoma st and Arkansas have as many Texas kids as they have instate.

It has nothing to do with Texas recruits and everything to do with the two major programs in the state being fricked up beyond belief. Baylor and TCU have probably hit their ceiling with basically all TX players. TX recruits that go to well run programs succeed and do well. If either UT or A&M got a coach that could develop and properly utilize talent they would do well. By saying this you're basically saying Strong and Sumlin are actually decent coaches who are being hamstrung by the talent base.

Didn't Broyles' best teams consist mostly of recruits from Texas?
