Mizzou has offered 2013 Marietta,GA QB Eddie Printz. Printz is a UCLA verbal.
This kid is going to be good. We offered him a few months back and thought we had a shot. He committed to SMU out of the blue however which shocked a lot of people. Anyways, he decommitted from SMU last month and committed to UCLA after they hired Mora. His teammate, Kenny Orjioke, is a '12 recruit and is committed to UCLA as well and has a lot of pull with him apparently. Definitely would be a good get if you can flip him.

Thanks for the info. That's at least the 2nd or 3rd qb we've offered for '13.

DGB will take an OV to Mizzou next weekend. Maty Mauk will be visiting "unofficially"

Mauk has really been great for us. I am glad he was the Quarterback we chose. Kid is already proving to be a leader.

Just think if Kiel would've commited to us last summer and we stopped recruiting Mauk. We probly wouldn't have a qb right now.

Lot's of 3*'s on that list.
We have a habit of sending 3* players to the NFL. It's nothing new for Mizzou.
Someone else asked about the in-state talent. We don't produce as many elite players as other states but HCGP has done a decent (not great) job of keeping most of the talent home. For some reason a lot of St. Louis-area kids have gone to the Big 10 over the years. I am hoping that will change.
Also, I think Pinkel purposely looks for kids in the 3-4* range because A) we are not an elite program and B) he wants kids that will actually work hard and not take plays off because they are spoiled. Recruiting needs to step up a bit, but we are not that far away from where we should be.
The strength of our coaching staff is talent evaluation. The weakness is game-day coaching, which drives me nuts.

Looks like Aaron Curry is down to Nebraska and Iowa.

Damien Lawry and Michael Onuoha are 2 of the visitors on campus this weekend. Onuoha will visit Oklahoma next weekend. He has an offer from OU so its gonna be tough to pull this one off.

Only getting 7 out of your 20 top prospects in the last 4 years is not at all impressive.

I understand the criticism but how many of these players had an offer? I could point to several of these spots as I remember the recruits and I know we didnt pursue them at all.

Hell look no further than Darrian Miller last year. He was the #1 player in the state and only had offers from Kansas, Iowa, Kansas State, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Not the kind of offer sheet you would expect from the top player.
Posted on 1/21/12 at 2:02 pm to Stripes314
I believe they all had offers except for Darrian Miller and the guy that signed with BC (Christian Suntrup I think). Those 2 were #1 and #5 in 2011. So that would make 7-18. Still not good but not quite as bad.

I will look it up after the Basketball Game. I think I saw Schelehaus on there and I dont think we were really interested either.
Posted on 1/21/12 at 2:16 pm to Stripes314
Scheelhaase had an offer I believe but we didn't need him at all.

kU's 2 guys on that list (Miller,Keeston Terry). Have left the program. Terry wants to go to Mizzou, but not sure if they still want him.

Rumors swirling that 4* OT Jake Meador is on an unofficial visit to Columbia. It would be his 2nd visit to Missouri.
Posted on 1/21/12 at 6:00 pm to URHatinIt
I have heard he was on campus. A commitment would be big for us.

I'm guessing Goines will decommit so it would be nice consi prize.
