He very well may have, FWIW I don't see a kid with school and practice plus any homework he has making a 1.5 hour trip each way to go watch film with the coaches in the middle of the week.
I don't see how a kid jumps from NR to top 40 player in the country without influence.

You don't see how they can determine that a player, who hasn't previously been evaluated, is a great athlete upon evaluation? I could see your argument if it was just one site, but it isn't, they all have boosted him way up after they evaluated him. If you are legitimately going to argue that then I don't see how a DE with only 4 sacks on the season is the nations #1 DE much less overall recruit.

The only one of the main services that doesn't send a rep to at least one game of every guy they rank. You would.

No I'm just spewing some shite talk that holds as much if not more validity than your claim about Jones. I do think RN is a great athlete and probably #1 but he hasn't done what I thought he would this year and I can't remember a consensus #1 recruit ever falling from that spot in the rankings. I think much of it is to do with him being fairly raw, he has the size and speed that you can't teach. His technique needs work but like I was saying you can mold that into a kid and you can't teach them to be 6'4 270.

Every recruiting breakdown I have read says that his only spot he needs work on is his technique. Also Jones was 6'6 250 his junior year, he is up to 270 now.

Look at his pictures.. Look at Channings and tell me he's bigger than Channing and then explain how he put on 10 magic pounds during the season

I'm entirely too fricking bored at work. I'll make you a deal, I'll buy the beer you get the gas, we will go weigh Jones and see Robert's technique; we will take Bundy and DC as witnesses. Victor buys the blow and strippers.

He is taller than Channing. This kid is 6'6 Channing was like 6'4 265, and some kids put on a lot of weight in that last year or two. I'm sure you know someone who was tall and fairly slender and put on a lot of weight in high school. I know I went to college with a few and grew up with one also. I don't know him personally but I do know it isn't absurd for someone that tall to pack on 20 pounds when they are 17.
ETA: Autry was 6'5 250 and I have met him several times, he looked jacked like white Jesus when we signed him while at 250 Jones looked almost lanky. Even the 1 inch makes a big difference when you are talking about someone that tall.

Then you didn't play football. It's impossible to put on that kind of weight during the season

Who said during the season? I said he was 250 as a junior and is up to 270 now, my entire claim was that was partly why he got the bump. I did play football and at 6'0 there is no way in hell I could put that on. I had a friend who went from 245 to 275 in one offseason though, he was 6'4 and ended up getting some offers to like Millsaps and some other small schools because of it.

58 tackles, 24 quarterback hurries, and four sacks
117 tackles, 38 quarterback hurries; and 11 sacks;
One of these is Jones' season stats, the other is RN's. Now tell me who isn't deserving of their rating.
