Bama stopped recruiting Evans months ago. One of our coaches told him to his face he was too immature to play at Bama. LOL @ Kirby taking all these character risks. Rookie mistake. And he’s still a terrible game day coach who is a choke job artist in big games. Les Miles 2.0.

You seem upset.

I heard Evans has signed and UGA and Clemson will be first and second classes in 2020

Nah, just enjoy educating all the ignorant puppy fans who clearly have never tasted success before and don’t know how to act with the big boys of the sport.

As you will learn, it won’t help you win real titles to sign top classes full of character risks. How do you think that #1 class Kirby signed a couple of years ago would rerank today after Fields, Luke Ford and Brenton Cox all transferred out of Athens less than one year in?

So the correct way to act when you have success is to talk down to other fans and act like you don't want a 5 star player when he decides to go somewhere else. Thanks. Hopefully I can act that way soon.

LOL, it’s a fact Bama stopped recruiting the perennially suspended head case out of TX MONTHS ago. This has been talked about by multiple recruiting services. It’s not even debatable, no matter how many times you tell yourself Bama really wanted him. Kirby is taking a huge risk with a cancer, period. We will see how it shakes out.

I never once said any of this so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up

I just called you on your bs that you'd be singing his praises if he was going to Bama.

Not this year. CNS has been pissed with multiple "bad character" reads over the last few cycles that have challenged the buy in, effort, and willingness to subordinate their egos for the team. He made a very similar comment to that and I think character issues are a major red flag in the 2020 class.

Personally, I'm a fan of it. Bought in 3 and 4 stars > grabbing a few prima donna 5 stars who get suspended multiple times in their senior year and bail on a state championship over a cell phone rule.

Plus, the focus on in state kids was great to see. Love rewarding a talented group of kids who grew up pulling for the Tide and will lay it on the line every game for their want to see Bama win. Then, augment them with the best team first high 4 star and 5 star talent you can get. Great recipe for success.

As to UGA, I think their being stuck between Bama, AU, and Clemson in recruiting grounds; playing in an East that gets no respect; and the weight of 1980 has them at a do all you can "at all costs" level. Not sure it will be healthy for the team. But, we'll see.

That’s actually a well thought out post. Not sure I agree with the pressure part but I appreciate your post all the same

They didn't. It would be hilarious if he signed with Bama just to see the about face you morons would do.

Wrong. Bama did stop recruiting Evans -- and most Bama fans were glad they did. Bama flipped OU commit Jase McClellan, who was always higher than Evans on Bama's board.

But carry on making a fool of yourself if you want.

So you’re happy and we will certainly be happy if we do in fact land Evans

Lol the old
“Bama didn’t want him anyways”

I will say that Clemson for sure did stop recruiting him early. They got Bowman though so it didn’t matter.

I respect how Clemson recruits. Dabo is a savage

I’m trying to remember. Wasn’t there a uga player who got kicked out of uga for DV and then later signed with Alabama? And then nick later lectured us on how guys deserve second chances?

I'm not faulting Kirby for taking a risk on Evans. Saban has selectively done it on others. He just chose not to with Evans. Best wishes to Zach.

It was Jonathan Taylor. Got arrested for choking his GF and was dismissed from UGA and Saban snatched him up.

Come on dude. Saban picked Johnathan Taylor up after we kicked him off our team for Domestic Violence. Don't act like Alabama doesn't take risks with some players. Every team does.

How about VanDarious Cowen who was kicked off his High School team and then signed by Alabama.

Those are just two quick ones. There are many many more "rookie" mistakes that Saban has made.

Are we going to mention all the game day decisions that have blown up in your coaches face? Kick 6? 1 second!
Difference? Smart is new as a HC. Saban was making those decisions after coaching for 12 or more years.

Maybe you should climb down off the high horse and look at your own team closer?

I hope it works out but a couple of points.

1) Nobody knows for sure where he signed. Only that he signed.
2) We all know he will need to be watched very, very closely.

Apparently when it became apparent he was going to be uber talented, people began to allow him to get away with a lot of stuff. Now the world has to deal with the fall out. I hope it doesn't blow up in our face.
