But we have NO shot at CJ Hampton despite what HE has said -- and being the number 1 safety on our board. Your hypocrisy is strong on this, which is, again, surprising to no one...

What the hell is wrong with you? I've said the exact same thing about your chances with CJ 3 times since he's committed and I'm sure 10 more times until NSD because you apparently have a learning disability. Did I not just say that if y'all have a better season then y'all have a shot at him? How does that translate into "NO shot"?

Hilarious -- now that you've already conceded in this thread that it's very possible we get 2 of the 3 4*s needed this summer -- and the 3rd is basically a formality -- but of course, you disqualify the reality of those impending commitments as "MSU can't hold onto them!!1!1"

I haven't conceded shite. I know why you think you will get 4 four stars between now and August and its because of your position with Jesse and Gerri. I would not be surprised if either committed to y'all this summer but would be shocked of both sign with you. If they both commit and y'all get 2 more all by August then I'll be happy to take my ban. I think there is a chance of it happened but I certainly still like my chances very much. Their future decommitments have nothing to do with our bet

Why do these decommittments have to commit to OM?

Because YOU were the one talking in terms of flipping MSU recruits that commit in the summer TO OLE MISS. If you are flipping MSU recruits, don't they kinda have to end up at Ole Miss? Or is Freeze flipping them to Auburn now?

quote:

So you're saying you have only lost 1 commitment in the past 2 years?

Reading comprehension. It's your friend. Here's what I ACTUALLY said.
quote:

Again -- in two years, you've gotten ONE MSU decommit

quote:

So if Mullen try's to get them to commit early and he does visit OM, he is a high potential flip. We covet Gerri and will go after him like we did CJ except he will actually have time to make his decision.

I still fail to see how this isn't equal and opposite to our situation with CJ Hampton -- which is all I said initially -- and you went full retard about.

Hampton is the first OM commitment that committed early we "covet" in MS in Freeze's tenure. Everyone that you've gotten that we REALLY wanted, you got very late in the process.

On Mississippi kids? Sure I do. Prove to me otherwise -- statistically, if you can...

Kailo is a cornerback now?

Good to know**

Well it's difference because Jesse and Gerri haven't even committed to State. It's also different because Mullen strikes out more often than not with guys he covets. If Mullen could actually pull in a QB or any OOS kid that is mutually wanted by an elite program then I would actually believe in his recruiting abilities. I just don think he can get a kid that we really want unless there is some tie in of position difference (Shumpert). That's what I believe and I know that comes off homerish but its backed up by what Freeze did last year and what Mullen has done in his tenure

So they are talented recruiters in MS but not in other states? Why is there a difference in their recruiting skills inside and outside the state?

Or is it the fact that you will always get kids just by where they live in the state and not actually because of good recruiting?

Hint: its the second one

Let me get this straight... You believe the people who told you he wasn't in Oxford that he was a state commit 100% of the way and never wavered over two different reporters who were correct about CJ's trips to Oxford using quotes from the player saying he was going to OM the night before NSD.

Link to me saying 100% anything? Yes, I believed he was in the MSU bag the whole time and said as much.

Yea -- I believe a Shumpert family member who told me that Jones was going to MSU and had already signed lease agreements to room with Shump and was in Oxford "chasing tail" -- the same person that told me 2 weeks before Jones ever visited that it was inevitable. That battle was never nearly as close as you fools built yourself into a frenzy believing. But by all means, keep telling yourself whatever you'd like...and basing your entire thoughts on the Jones recruitment on one quote from a kid that had told literally hundreds of untruths to reporters during those couple of weeks -- and turned right around and told MSU reporters that he knew he was going to MSU the entire time the SAME DAY. But by all means...tell yourself whatever you like...

quote:

The second choice may not be 100% correct, we could argue anything said because the player didnt say it directly to us but the second option at least follows logic. The first choice is laughable. Between those, which do you believe?

This paragraph doesn't make sense.

So, it's completely illogical that he was simply having fun trips to Oxford -- in which he was treated like a king and by all accounts hanging out with a particular girl -- but still knew all along that at the end of the day that he was ending up in Starkville -- and was even confident enough to sign a lease agreement early?

Yep -- totally illogical and delusional...

So, you think we actually DO have a shot at Hampton -- you were just looking to argue initially despite AGREEING WITH WHAT I ACTUALLY SAID.

Shocking. Truly.

Notice the difference in objectivity.

Last year when Kailo was telling state reporters that he was 100% dawg and we said he is just saying that because he has too. he will be a rebel, y'all would shut that down and link every article of him saying he's 100% dawg. He'd come to our practices and y'all still wouldn't accept at least the chance of it until it became apparent the flip was coming.

Now when CJ says he's 100% I admit that if y'all grab back the momentum in the state that y'all could take him from us. Exact same situation except CJ has never committed to State an grew up an OM fan, just like Kailo.

Any player can decommit for various reasons. You think we got CJ because we were the first to offer. I argued that. You think y'all have a good chance because Meridian is such a state town. I argued that. I never argued that y'all could flip him. I just said y'all have to have a better season to do it

It's hilarious that Freexe would lose both his #1 player in the state on his board and his now #1 WR in the state who happens to be th teammate of an elite OT that we covet extremely? That's hilarious? Why?

What the frick does QB recruiting and OOS recruiting have to do with a fricking safety from Meridian, Ms? Oh, that's right -- NOTHING. Just another WiO reach in attempt to make a nonexistent point.

I just don think he can get a kid that we really want unless there is some tie in of position difference (Shumpert).

Riiigghttttt** Didn't want Jones, didn't want Cox, didn't want Autry, didn't want Richie, didn't want Beniquez and Coman, didn't want Quay, didn't want James, and didn't want Jefferson!

Damn, Freeze gets everyone he wants!1! We're completely fricked in this MS recruiting game from now on!1!11!

quote:

That's what I believe and I know that comes off homerish but its backed up by what Freeze did last year and what Mullen has done in his tenure

Yep. Winning 4 of 5 state of MS recruiting battles and 3 of 4 Egg Bowls just SCREAMS imminent door mat...
