They're gonna sell him on the opportunity to be THE guy and be able to air it out and open up the offense like they did for Grier. You can see the vast improvements from game to game at home, and the (slower) but still solid improvement from his first road game to the next.
This all sounds nice - if Grier wasn't going to be back. Have they made a determination on whether he is staying?
It's way easier to say "look how great we were with this guy!" when that guy won't be competition for snaps.

Lol, the most recent Florida VIP article said that we are supremely confident in getting Eason to flip and Nuss and Mac's in-home visit on Wednesday is to meet the family and get them on board with his decision, too.
This is getting real...

He's done for the first 6 games of the year. No doubt.
He is allowed to do everything with the team except play on Saturdays or travel for road games.
If Eason comes in and sets the world on fire, and leads us to 6-0 with wins over LSU and Tennessee, he is the guy and will be the guy for the next 3-4 years. If he struggles some, Grier will more than likely get his job back and it will be an ongoing battle for the next few years. Grier will have two years of eligibility left, so it will be Eason's job for at least 2 years. It'll all depend on his play. If he balls out, Grier may be done at Florida.

Or both the UGA and UF mods don't have shite on Eason's side and are making up positive news. DMB's post on this thread is closer to the truth than anything put out on 247 or any other site.

It's all click bait this time of year for every service so take them all with a grain of salt.

More real than we want, for sure. But if y'all can't flip him by Saturday then it's not happening. Goal has to be to get him to not visit UGA on Saturday at the very least. If you can get him to sign financial paperwork then it's on

The paperwork thing would not help us. It is only the first school that gets the benefits of unlimited contact. Eason will have to reach out to UF.

Interesting. So we could badger him all we want if he does flip?

The financial aid paperwork doesn't matter. The only scholl that reaps the benefits of it is the first school that he signs with. That school is the only one that gets unlimited contact, etc.
He can contact the staff during the dead period, which I think will be important. Hes visiting UGA this weekend. That won't change. But I think that the visit could go bad if they don't have an OC named and if it doesn't live up to the fun he had in Gainesville.
We'll see. He seems like a good kid that doesn't want to troll either fanbase, so it will be fun to see what he decides.

Really? You think his parents are going to just let him get shite faced drunk and participate in threesomes while they're in town? Come on man.

Also that downplays the fact that he has been to Athens countless times and has been quoted saying how much he loves it. It's funny to me that UF thinks that Gainesville might be a trump card over Athens.
Not saying he didn't have fun and that it isn't a good scene, but let's get real here.

I visited UGA when trying to decide on a college, and the campus was very nice. And thats coming from a lifelong Gator fan.
I don't think Gainesville is the trump card over Athens in his recruitment at all. I think that the trump card is the uncertainty of the direction of the offense, the fact that a defensive minded coach who has never been a head coach is leading your program, and less than a month before he is set to enroll, UGA still doesn;t have an offensive coach on the staff.

This is it, pure and simple. Eason wouldn't have even visited UF if Richt was still here.

Not entirely true. Bryan McClendon (WRs) and Thomas Brown (RBs) are expected to stay.

Agreed. Might have misread an earlier post, but if someone claims you can have more fun in Gainesville than you can in Athens...I am ready to throw hands

When your season has been as as shitty as ours was, you have to cling to the things you do well. We might suck on the field, but our downtown scene bows to no one.

My mistake, I didn't know that they were expected to stay.
I just read a very, very promising rules clarification for the Gators.
According to Andrew Spivey (GatorCountry), @AndrewSpiveyGC
"The Financial Aid Agreement doesn't allow contact during the dead period. The Financial Aid Agreement doesn't mean anything once the dead period starts on Monday".
If that's accurate, that is HUGE for Florida. Puts us on a level playing field

That's just not true. Maybe he means as it pertains to Eason signing papers with UF, since the benefits only go to the school he signs papers with first.
UGA has no contact limitations during dead period.

Think that's only with respect to UF. UGA has been calling and visiting with Eason non-stop throughout the season (for example, Richt was able to conduct an in-home visit with him when it would otherwise not be permissible)
