Cuonzo was not going to be back at Tennessee for year 4 either way. If he had missed the tourney (second to last team in) he would have been fired. If not he was going to leave on his own. Once Pearl's players were gone he was absolutely fricked. Had absolutely nothing in the post after coming in 2nd for both Austin Nichols and Kevon Looney.

Tyndall obviously had his flaws but our roster this year is in better shape because of Tyndall than it would have been if Cuonzo had continued flailing around here.

"Recruiting at the same level minus 2 5*s" not to mention the class that fell apart when he left that had several nice players.

The last class was very similar to this class. Turman, Austin, Cofer and Cornish were very similar to these guys ratings wise. Cofer is the only one who ended up at a P5 school and that is with them all being on the market in the spring where it is much more a players' market.

I won't argue the impact he had on Stokes but I just think it's very silly to act like he is some great coach we railroaded when the truth is he has snuck in to 1 tourney in 7 years.
