Coaches are more important than schools.

Texas' OL coach has the credentials.

That is what aggy does....

The would rather see a kid leave Texas than for him to play at UT.
Even if they have no chance on him they will negative recruit Texas.

If A&M is running around with a guy who is screwing over recruits and their families shouldn't A&M cut him off.
Even Demas is going to realize...
I can feed my family myself. Don't need someone taking all the money off the top.

Cutting off crooked handlers would eliminate access to a lot of elite talent. Especially in the southeast.

It's been a part of the game for as long as I can remember and getting worse. The cycle never stops, if the kid goes pro it becomes an agent or financial adviser that steps into the feeding frenzy.

Fortunately there is enough talent that is available and willing to agree to "we'll take care of you once you are on campus", but many programs are okay with the "agent" process and seek to cultivate those avenues. It does provide relationship & a "repeat" source advantages as many of the handlers are trainers or coaches with access to other kids down the line.

If avoiding shady situations of any sort is your mantra, outside of Stanford and possibly ND... a program has zero chance to compete.

Not true.

The money can go to the family or a third party.
The issue is the money going to a third party.

From I have heard Shepherd had a falling out with Footwork King over money.
He wasn't giving the kid nor his family anything more than crumbs.
Now he is saying his family needs to eat.

A&M would be smart to stay away from him

Not going to get into all the rumors but when Footwork King tried to get money from Ohio St to take Demas and Evans up there some guns were pulled.
Evans no longer associates with Footwork King nor any of his Recruits

This is like a high school drama the way y'all talk about it. Let me know when tu pulls shep’s Schollie or stops recruiting anyone associated with FK.

I am not even a Texas Fan...
The rumor is Shepherd and Footwork King had a blow up.

Shepherd is pretty much off the radar so no one has an idea what he will do.
Maybe he gave aggy a silent at the Clemson game. I don't really know.

I do know the guy has talent and is a big physical OL. Perfect at RT. But....he has to cut ties with all the bullshite he is involved with. Looks like he has.

Family running point in an ante /bid recruitment is not the norm by any means these days.

You're not paying attention then. This story is about one easy turn into everyone forgetting who Bru McCoy is.

If you remove Owens Texas has 6 former 5 star DBs.
4 are Safties.

So iron sharpens iron. BJ Foster could start for pretty much every school in the country outside of Texas and LSU.

If Owens is legit...He will play.
But it was like Miami in 99-2001.
Ed Reed became Ed Reed because he was competiting against legit talent.
That is what Herman is trying to do at every position.
You see the difference at WR and QB this year.
You will see it at multiple positions next year because the talent level has increased.

Texas was dbu before lsu was. And if lsu fans want to disagree please look it up first. Texas was the original dbu. Texas had a bad run and lost the title. It's seems now the original dbu my be coming back. Lsu was getting all the best Texas defensive backs while Texas was down. Today they are all staying home even a&m is helping them stay home. I said this before that Herman and Jimbo will make it hard for non Texas teams to cherry pick Texas anymore.. Those days are over.

Check out this graph directly questioning 247's credibility

No bias at all

I think 247 can do a lot better job at changing rankings but that is time consuming and their composite has to wait for the other sites to update their rankings.

Jordan Whittington was vastly underrated because he missed summer camps last year.
What you saw with Whittington was a return to what he should have be rated in the beginning.
