I don't consider 6-5, 295 'small'. Maybe not up to our recent OL averages, but not 'small'.
If he gets on up here and Herb gets ahold of him, he still has time beef up a little before this coming season, maybe bust 300 and he'll most likely gain some strength as well.
If he does what Herb asks him to, he could be a monster next year.

Just let him shadow Fat Bert. That will be good for about 50lbs.

One would assume he's going to get better coaching in the system known for sending OL to the NFL. It's not a crazy thought really.

Just realistic. Buy in that he helps your depth, but no way he will be a monster this season.

Don't think any of us said he'd 'be a monster' this season, did we? He can help us this season I think, and if you will reread my post, I said that if he buys into Herb's program, he might be a monster his 2nd season here. That's what I meant by 'next year' (2017).
He will certainly help us somewhat this year though.

I don't think they were recruiting him. They just track Texas constantly despite them allegedly not being a rival.
