near as I can gather, the former UGA staff offered him when he was a freshman, then he blew out each ACL a year apart (playing bball), and UGA was bringing in some fantastic OL classes by then, so I imagine UGA cooled on him if not outright cut him loose.
So probably a guy with a lot of potential for Mizzou, but an injury risk that UGA didn't need to risk. Just keep that boy away from the bball court

He has fully recovered from his knee injuries. Kid had a really great senior year and I think he has a lot of upside. He is an AWESOME kid!
The college game is so different though and he will have to learn how to dominate when they are just as big and strong as he is. I would bet he will get a real chance to start next year or the year after.

Griffin chose the Tigers over interest from Coastal Carolina, Florida, Florida International, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
