I have heard he is really liking UCLA

Things not in UCLA's favor:

1. Crowded depth chart

2. New DC

Willis was the biggest lose. sure we want KY but LB isn't are biggest area of concern. Can't fault kids for wanting to go to ATM. They need everything on defense. Anyone can challenge that group for playing time. Speedy if you ever watched him play live isn't what i would call a team player. He played all over the field even punter. He was huge in Karr losing the state title game to a team that has no stars......Speedy knew he would not be featured with LSU play calling and LF.....Louisiana kids will make it to the league that is why we have the most per capt.......GEAUX TIGAHS!!!

And he knew he would be THE star on A&M's offense, with their very deep receiving corps and the best QB recruit in the country coming in?

Speedy wouldn't have done very much in our offense

Not sure why this statement keeps being made the kid is OBJ 2.0. They are the same damn size. A WR doesn't have to be Randle/Dupre type build to do well in our offense. Stop trying to justify the fact that we lost a good player but down playing his effectiveness.

We'll see. Comparing him to OBJ at this point is some serious praise though.

I'm not sold on Willis being the biggest loss because I've always felt DL and OL to be the hardest positions to project from HS guys. We've got a lot of guys with great promise on the DL and I think Willis would have got an RS or very limited PT his first year.

Noil is a terrific talent and he'd have been our day 1 returner and likely a frequent contributor on offense. I don't know if he would start in 2014, but I'm sure he would be at worst the 4th receiver. If Willis and Noil both become all Americans, Willis would be the bigger loss die to scarcity of talent at the position, but it's very unlikely that they will both be and even more unlikely for Willis.

I wasn't saying he is OBJ at this exact moment in terms of skill. I was more referring to the fact the he could have been used in exactly the same manner.

Time will tell on both of them. I've never been able to figure out how the "experts" ranked Speedy the #1 overall WR in the country when the kid's 7 minute highlight video showed him catching 8 total passes. He's an incredible athlete but not the most polished receiver. It's going to be real interesting to follow him the next few years.

Some rational tigers up in this thread.

Wish I could say the same about the aggies in it. You guys always gonna jump straight to the trolling or will it wear off after a few more years away from big brother?

Nah, only in response to things. I only troll your bad posters that start off with what they think are "facts" but are actually delusions of grandeur. If you're a reasonable poster, you won't get trolled by most of the Ags.

How about: LINK

and every post that you made in that thread after that.

What a fricking bitch comment. A&M is in no way a threat to LSU. We have controlled them the last 3 times we've played them 2 of which we beat the shite out of them. We continue to out recruit them and are not going to lose the facility arms race to them. They got a few players out of Louisiana but we get more out of Texas. They just lost one of the most electric college football players to ever play the game. No one is scared of Texas A&M.

And you're surprised we trolled you after that?

Because I stated that A&M isn't a threat to the stability of LSU's program? That's a stupid thing to say.

eta: Real talk now Project. Now an LSU insider, and I use that term loosely , is claiming that LSU is very much in play for Young. Like, REALLY in play. Are y'all hearing anything?

I keep hearing he's split between A&M and UCLA. I feel pretty confident about it, especially since his visit went so well and Mattrell has said he's down to just A&M and Oregon. I don't think they're a package deal, but it helps.

Move on man. If you think A&M is going to take the LSU program down when Bama couldn't, and those frickers have been stealing recruits from us for years now, then I don't know what to tell you.

Now, try to be civil. Are your guys saying anything about Young?

Current rumor is he's flipping tomorrow. He was walking around in an A&M hoodie today...
