You're witnessing the yearly ranter migration.

LSU slow played KY in favor of Clifton Garrett, and Young never seemed to care. No one that's kept up thinks LSU is going to land him.

I get that and it's logical I just meant his overall demeanor towards LSU never seemed that positive. In the end he is a good player who I'd love to have at LSU but I'd trade him for a good DL/OL prospect with the current depth at LB.

I just don't have a good feeling about Young at all. Kid will be a monster just a shame that we got on him late.

I would say 90% to UCLA.

Sounds like Speedy to LSU type chances, so I'm optimistic.

Why are you trolling? I said "among other reasons" - I can't speak to how he feels or what he thinks about Louisiana or College Station, I was just pointing out legitimate PT concerns he may have. He may hate LA, some people do, it doesn't bother me any. I'd like to have him, but he isn't make or break for the class the way Willis, Fournette, Noil, Dupre, and Garrett are/were.

Speedy was not a make or break for this class. Don't feed these idiots here.

I'm sure you don't care that we stole a top-rated 5* from your backyard.

I really don't care with a guy like Trey Quinn on board. If he would've gone elsewhere then we would have a problem. Speedy will flourish in A&M's system. It would've been a crap shoot with him at LSU.

If we lose Dupre too then Speedy will really hurt. But if we sign Dupre, which it looks like we will, then he and Quinn are plenty good enough as a WR class for LSU. If we sign Valentine and keep Deondre Clark we won't miss Willis. Ed Paris and the number one player in 2015, Kevin Toliver, will hold down the CB spots after White and Robinson are done. LSU will be fine folks.

I really think Young will make all of these trips and realize that he wants to be closer to home. It will be between A&M and LSU, and I think if A&M gets Alaka like they think they will, that could push Young to LSU becuase we only have one true LBer commitment and he is a Mike where Young would be a SLB or a WLB for LSU.

I think this is probably the biggest reason. He is likely looking at a guy like Claiborne and how well he did this season (outside of his arrest at the end) and can see that same opportunity. He goes to LSU and there is a lot more competition in place. He also can likely see that at A&M if they can even field a decent defense the sky is the limit with their offense.

Depends on how you see "make or break." LSU, if we had got Speedy, Willis, Brown would probably have had the greatest class ever. Without them, we'll still have an amazing class, but not on that level. He's also the type of offensive player that can completely change the game - like pp7 or Mathieu with returns. I know it's tempting to downplay a player when we miss on him, but it's stupid to deny Noil was a really really tough loss. I think he's the second best player in LA this year.

I agree with you. If the offense can keep it up, A&M will be an attractive place for that side of the ball for years to come.

I wasn't chest puffing as much as making fun of the "Speedy is an LSU lock" and "Speedy is just trolling by not including LSU in his top 3" and "Aggies are delusional if they think they get Speedy" type comments.

It pisses me off that Les waited so long to offer KY, I dont blame him for going elsewhere. LSU will be fine without KY but he would have been a great addition to the already stellar class.

Some rational tigers up in this thread.

Y'all have a great class going and should have a good finish.

Yes, losing Speedy, Willis and Brown sucked but Willis was the biggest loss of this entire recruiting period. We needed that kid. Speedy wouldn't have done very much in our offense and that has nothing to do with Speedy's talents. We just would've fricked that kid up.
