Your point that there have been successful QBs who were not 5 stars doesn't make you right about any of the others that you were wrong about. Just because a 3* pans out doesn't mean a 5* won't. Miller had an outstanding career. Kiel got his shite together and had a good senior year. Barnett didn't play.

My point is that you're more likely to have a superstar as a 4 star or high 3 star than you are as a 5-star.

You can use your anomaly example all you want, but in this day and age, a 5* player is going to have an option to be the only QB recruited in a class by a number of schools. it may have worked for y'all post-Tannehill and Manziel because TAMU looked like a QBs heaven. But right now y'all aren't looking so hot in the QB department.

Tim Tebow, Matt Stafford, Jimmy Clausen, Ryan mallett, Tyrod Taylor, Terelle Pryor, EJ Manuel, Matt Barkley, Aaron Murray, Braxton Miller, Jameis Winston all were 5 stars who panned out. And the TAMU transfers still have a chance. I know you TAMU fans want to pretend they're a bust, but both are at good programs with legit shots at making a name for themselves. Hell, I'd bet Murray does well at OU and Allen does well at Houston.

I have big reservations about Murray and I'm pretty sure I posted them before he was transferring. OU/Riley may be able to design an offense that hides his shortcomings though and makes him look good. I feel like you shouldn't have to do that with a 5 star, but whatever

he's literally saying he'd prefer 3 and 4 stars over a 5 star. In other words, if Shea Patterson decided to go to TAMU, he'd prefer him not, because 5 stars don't pan out.

Murray is undersized and apparently a head case. So I could see him not panning out, but he's at a top tier program in OU. Having talent around you definitely helps, as we know from every Bama QB in the last 4-5 years.

Trevor Knight is a 4* who beat Bama and would start at LSU and Middle Tennessee this year.

I can worry about LSU too considering my sister is there, a parent and a step parent and grandparents also graduated from there.
And keep replacing those upperclassmen with freshman. Who knows? Maybe they will transfer too once Rumlin is replaced.

I figured your 2 five stars were freshman. Knight on the other hand was a 4*, but now is just another hack who couldn't make it at OU and was beat out by a 3* in Mayfield. Have fun with that, I'm sure y'all are thrilled.
