You know the day isn't going according to plan when we are getting excited over Bama's potential leftovers.

Hey, if a kid was good enough for Saban up until about 14 days ago, and will be good enough for Saban in a year, I'll gladly take him.

I just hope that some day our team is in a position where other SEC schools fight over our leftovers like half-eaten chicken bones.

We didn't get the big one we were hoping for but we got everyone else expected plus Otha that we never thought we had a chance on. It'll be alright!

Will probably never happen. Just the way it is. And the fact that we still compete year in and year out (under Petrino) is a testament to how good a coach he is.

Keep winning 10+ games a year and we'll eventually get more and more studs to take notice. We just don't have the homegrown talent that LSU/Bama/Auburn get.

Courtney Gardner went to fricking OU? WTF!

He would be immediately eligible at OU. At Arkansas he had two classes to make up during the summer to become eligible.

Agreed. We are going to have to raid other states and coach up the one's who others look over. BMFP is great with that so I never get upset with 3*. They always seem to want it more.

Damn. The reporter asked Javon Williams' baby cousin which hat she liked the best and she said "red" and picked it up...Javon picked it up but then chose the UCLA hat

I think he'll be successful as a player at Missouri. But I do believe he would have been more successful at Arkansas. One thing for certain...his decision is definitely not going to affect us as much as it will him...

I understand that but then you look at schools like Oklahoma and Nebraska that have bee very successful in the past and generally pull in pretty good classes despite not having enormous populations around them. Yeah, Oklahoma is a little bigger, but then they also have to share some recruits with Oklahoma State and whatnot.

I dunno...just seems like not having "homegrown talent" is a bit of an excuse we use too much.

Same story, different year.

Like I said earlier, there's absolutely no reason Vandy should have a better class than us. No reason at all. I've been disappointed with Petrino's recruiting lately. How did we let our state's top recruit go to Clemson? And 2013's top recruit to Bama?

Of course, I think this would be an awesome class if DGB had committed

one of the worst thought out decisions in recent recruiting history. they are going to have their heads caved in for the next 3 years min. while they acclimate to the SEC.

Punnanne' is a motherfricker to overcome

why? it's true. and, hate to say, Arkansas doesn't have the history of an Oklahoma or Nebraska to rely on.

Petrino is doing extremely well with what he gets, and he's spreading our reach to other states. As long as he keeps winning, the bigger recruits will start coming (e.g. Otha Peter's coach's comment that Arkansas gives Otha a chance to compete for championships while UTenn doesn't)

According to Winston he was asked to greyshirt just before he 'announced'

I look at it that the Admiral knows what he is doing and he wants. Sucks that our class will only be a top 20, but in the end we will still be better than most of the teams with higher recruiting ratings.
