You seemed to have calmed a bit...so I'll answer seriously one time...
Right now is the time when most staffs are getting grades from last semester...right now is when they're seeing test scores.
Yes, we have a 4* OT we may have to do the same thing with.
The way Petrino left our roster, we're not in a position to take any risks. Not even a 1% chance they'll not make it to campus. We have to make every spot count.
Essentially over the last 3 years, Arkansas has lost 26 players due to arrest, transfer, injury, etc. so, we've lost an entire recruiting class over that time. Petrino left Louisville in the same boat when he left there. Kragthorpe was the fortunate one to take that mess over.
If a kid is not 100% NCAA clearing house ready, or 100% cleared to enter the university, then we are not in a position to take the risk. No matter how small that risk may be.
We've lost 5 transfers since the end of the season with probably 2-3 more to come. We handed out scholarships to walk ons this past year, by the handful. We had walk ons starting.
So, we just can't take any risk, no matter how small you think it is.

Still carrying the flag in this thread? Nice.

Thats fine and understandable. These kids aren't terrelle Pryor. They can't drag signing out a few months and continue to be courted.
A guy like mcbride committed early, and stayed on track to be ready for school. Things changed since then, ok fine.
It just rubs me the wrong way that he won't have a chance to really make an informed decision about whatever school he picks. I mean sure, it's informed, but he didn't get a chance to really think about it.
It just rubs me the wrong way. College football needs an early signing date IMO. Problem solved.

Fair enough, you can't take risk. Do any other remaining players in your class have any risk? And again, why sit on the information?
We dropped Ravian Pierce and will probably have to drop Jovan Pruitt

Why did you offer these kids to begin with? Was attrition a problem that just recently surfaced? Serious q

Classes fill up what if they don't want to be some leftover?

It looks like McBride will be going to TCU... you make it sound like his only options are South Alabama. Schools who have more of an option to take risks will surely want to get him

Get your Bert on I guess.

Don't they both have TCU offers? Would be cool to see them both end up there if they qualify.

Just because they land on their feet doesn't mean you didn't do wrong.

Bert didn't do anything wrong either
sorry you're blaming the coaches when the ones you should be blaming are the kids for not getting their shite together

We all know that's your opinion. We've told you our coaches can't take the risk of losing any spots over grades. They committed last summer and they knew what they had to do. It sucks but it's life. I have no ill will toward the kids and I hope they're studs in college. I wouldn't be shocked if our coaches are recommending them to other coaches either. They get paid a lot of money and have very little job security so it's just something they had to do. We have a shite ton of dead weight on our roster and need to know 100% everyone we sign will be here to contribute.

Why can't you shed players and sign 40 like Tennessee?

You're mad at us for pulling scholarships for potential players and then suggest we pull scholarships of existing players. Double standards much?

It was a crack on Tennessee nm it's over your head.
