"It was crazy," he said. "I went out to lunch with Ole Miss. I tried to go get a lift in and couldn’t. I went to the barber shop and chilled a little bit. Then from like 3-5 pm they were in. (Nick Saban) and them were supposed to get there at 5:45, but I guess something happened with the plane. So I went to the gym and when I got back Coach Saban and them were there. They were there until about 9. Like 7:40-9 pm. We went out to eat with (Alabama coach Pete Golding).
That doesn't fit the Bama narrative. Not true. Nick doesn't make mistakes.

Two national Rivals guys just forecasted Dean to UGA.

I’m sure the Bama fans will find a reason he didn’t choose them other than actually preferring another school

Okay. he might sign with LSU. He could do much, much worse.
But you are basing this off posters on a site?
We have a couple of very reliable posters on a site that said they are certain he signs with Georgia. I'm sure Alabama has some saying the same thing. I wouldn't get too excited about a couple of reliable posters.
Again, they might be right, and he might sign with LSU, but I wouldn't get too excited about "reliable" posters because we all have them and they are saying different stuff.

This would be a great site and good for sharing info, even info we don't necessarily want to hear, from reliable sources. Instead it turns into a shite show because someone says something we don't like that's been reported by guys who should be in the know.
Carry on.
You excel at turning this board into a shitshow.
Carry on.

As I said, the two “insiders” on this particular pay site are even recognized as solid sources by the mods on said site. They are 2 of the 3 “insiders” who rarely post, but when they do, it usually holds weight. Wasn’t just two random arse people.
Dean has yet to make his decision, but if anyone thinks it’s simply a UGA-Bama battle, they’re seriously mistaken.

Wednesday is lining up to be a very nice day for LSU.
It's just hard to believe when not a single "journalist" or person who follows recruiting ever even mentions LSU as having a realistic chance here. Everything I read says it's between Bama and Georgia with Ole Miss third due to the hometown pull.
Obviously, I hope you're correct, but it seems like you could be falling for the banana in the tailpipe here.

Nakobe was on the phone with LSU coaches last night saying differently.
These “journalists” you speak of are so caught up by making the SEC look like it’s Bama, UGA and then everyone else, which is clearly not the case. Are they at the tops of their divisions in results and recruiting? Yes, I think so. But not to the point where top talent refuses to go anywhere else but those two programs in the SEC.
Lastly, LSU’s most respected mod/recruiting analyst/journalist just said this morning that he wouldn’t be surprised at all if Nakobe signs with LSU on Wednesday.
Call him a homer, I call him informed.

Our staff does a pretty good job evaluating kids. The proof is in the pudding. As a Georgia fan, you should know first hand.

At this point, we all need to go back to bed and wake up at 3pm Wednesday and see who has a Nakobe Dean present under their respective Recruiting Tree.

Crystal balls? because I don't see them.
Or are you talking about speculation?

The Rivals equivalent. Picking up picks for us on Dean and Sanders.

I understood what you are saying. but my point is that Georgia has two, too, that say he is going to Georgia. Americus Dawg, and Bulldawg Bob. They rarely miss and both predict him to Georgia. I don't remember Americus being wrong about a single recruit last year, and posted our class a month or more before signing day.
Look, I am not saying you, or they are wrong. I am only saying that almost every fan base has people like there and they rarely, if ever miss. But everybody seems to be forecasting Dean to their school.
Even with the two posters I mentioned saying Dean is coming to Georgia, I am stopping short of saying Dean is coming here.
quote:I agree with you there. He, and his family have been very tight lipped with his recruitment. I don't see how anybody could know where he is going.

Honestly, I was not trying to say your guys were wrong, or you shouldn't post what they said. I was only saying that I would not go and bet the house on what they said.
Like I said above....LSU has a great tradition of hard nosed, tough linebackers. Devin White is a great way to sell the program. LSU has as good a chance to land him as anybody.

I just check the 247 board. Dummy me didn't even realize the other sites had crustal balls.

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a look. I have always relied on the 247 site because of the Composite, and it just never occurred to me that the other sites had crystal balls, and stuff like that!

All you have to do is check out the recent recruiting class rankings to know LSU gets their share and then some. I don't THINK anybody on here means to insinuate that. They shouldn't because the truth is too easy to check on and see.

The general consensus from the LSU side (247) is that we wouldnt be surprised if we signed him and we wouldnt be surprised if we didnt.
We were one of his very first scholarships and orgeron and aranda have been on him hard for a very long time. Followed Devin White around on his OV and he has contacted the staff and told them LSU is in the mix.
Personally I dont believe it happens but apparently there is confidence and Nakobe has kept his recruiting very clise to vest.
