from John Brice

Been talking to some 'Bama folks today about Kamara and the overriding theme is naturally Saban & Co. are by no means thrilled to lose Kamara to a rival.

Additionally, no one there doubted Kamara's sheer talent. He simply ended up not being a good "fit" there, but folks stressed he was not squeezed out for scholarship numbers. They didn't want to lose him like that. And here's a telling Saban quote on Kamara's skills from late August, when he seemed destined to be a factor in tailback rotation till he suffered the injury:

Saban on Kamara right after he got hurt in August: "He was doing extremely well. He's going to be a really good player and this is not something that would supercede us continuing to try to use him this year if he can come back and learn while he's not out there and be able to continue to develop by learning from other people's mistakes watching film. Sometimes you can see the big picture better that way than you can when you're out there right in the middle of it."

why is he a JUCO RB when he never played at the JUCO level. Am I missing something. He still has to sit out a year right?
