It's happened before. Kid gets a generic letter and thinks it's an offer when it's not. Happened with some kid up here in St. Louis a couple of years ago.

Yeah, I've seen it happen before. Kid thinks he has an offer, but really doesn't. Decides he wants to commit but doesn't get ahold of the staff first.
Anyway, I do think this is legit. Our recruiting director RT'd him. Just odd the way it went down.

We had a kid commit to us last year that didn't have a commitable offer. It's a really awkward situation for the kids
