You take this board too seriously. Of course LSU fans circle the Ole Miss game. We hate each other. Try your hardest to remember that the narrative on tRant is that only the traditional rivals are real rivals. Of course that's not the case IRL.

Yes, once upon a time, Ole Miss fielded a top 5 team year in and year out. We both know those days are far behind us, though.

How do you think the families of these young men (Buchanan and Kincade) feel about bringing in a kid like "Machine gun" Kelly into the program to replace them. They have all done the right thing, man. Where is the loyalty fro hugh Freeze and his staff for these young men?
Les and Cam have committed to BH and AJ and will make them both better. Who would you rather play for? honestly.

That was because yall were ranked 3rd in the nation. You didn't deserve that ranking, but at the time, it seemed like a good win.

I'm not diminishing any accomplishments. I'm referring to the fact that LSU fans are saying Shea shouldn't go to Ole Miss because Freeze has never developed a high school QB(which he has, Bo), but should go to LSU because y'all have Cam Cameron...which makes no sense, on the basis of why he should/shouldn't go to lsu/om.

My man, we're agreeing. I know Mett will start. I had him as my #3 QB from last years class behind Bortles/Bridgewater and honestly, he could be better than those two in the end.

We absolutely did. Injuries destroyed our season. Yes, they happen, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think OM could run with any team in the country the first half of the season.

Wait, why can Les recruit Mett, but Freeze can't recruit Kelly? Who starts is upon the player...you're struggling if you think bringing in competition is a bad thing. Positions aren't handed to a player just because he signed with that school. God, you get dumber every time you hit "Submit."

He should go to LSU because he would have more talent to work with on offense. You can't deny that. This is the recruiting board, so I'd be happy to visit our current rosters and compare. Not to mention the talent LSU is leading for in 2016.

Well then you should also agree that Cameron is directly responsible for turning Mett into an NFL QB in one year. That's the selling point on Shea, for LSU fans. Looking at Bo's numbers, he never really progressed like yall thought he would. He wasn't bad, but he hit his ceiling. Whereas Mettenberger went from a 3rd stringer, as a sophomore (while Bo was starting for OM, mind you) into an NFL strter in one year.

Yeah, he really set LSU back with his lack of maturity at the time. He had more arm/leg talent combined than any other QB LSU has had in the modern era. Probably cost himself a 1st rd. draft pick and tens of millions of dollars.
From the interviews I have seen of him, he is really sober about what happened at that time and has no hard feelings towards Les/LSU for what happened.

just accept it, man. Some LSU fans circle the OM game, and some don't. I do. My dad doesn't. And I think the way the rest of the year shaped up proved OM wasn't the 3rd best team in the country.

A top 3 team in the country should have more depth. You don't think OSU had injuries? lulz. Go look at bama. They were banged up too. It's football, guys get hurt. If you're the 3rd best team in the country then you have guys waiting to step up. Do you disagree?
