I'm looking forward to some of the guys who didn't get much time last season step up this year. Deshazor (my lil cuzzo) held it down but I want to see what Ellis has.

He still did an excellent job as the LB coach on that team

Those that think this is just a ploy for Johnson aren't paying attention. We already lead for the #1 CB in TX, who is a likely 5-star, and we haven't even offered the 2nd rated CB yet, who we also lead for. No way would we offer and accept a commitment at this point if we didn't really want him.

Serious question to A&M fans. Was the lack of defense last year a talent thing or a coaching thing? Obviously, you brought in some good defensive talent with the last class but how do you feel about your Defensive Coordinator or coaches? I'm asking because I honestly don't know much about him / them. I'd imagine another year like last year and there will be changes??
DWag said most....I'll add that it was a perfect storm to fail. All of the leaders on Def were seniors and losing Demontre Moore... our only pass rush. Also, Sherman didn't recruit very well to replace those seniors...Sumlins true freshman recruits were forced into action....when you have that many playing at once it's a recipe for disaster. It's not a talent thing or coaching thing.....it's an experience thing

Snyder will turn it around like he did as head coach of 5 national title teams at Ohio State
