First off, I would like to apologize for my earlier reaction (even though it was totally fricking warranted).

Cap, we haven't landed a top 5 QB since Sims and that was 3 classes ago. It's damn time to pull an elite one. Hopefully EJ Moss from the 2014 class can help ease this situation, but damnit, I thought we had the inside track with Hackenberg. At the moment we've lost him to a program with serious issues and we're left holding the bag so to speak. I never thought Max Browne was a viable option, but he may be our best shot now at an elite QB in this class.

I am flabbergasted right now. Hackenberg has only visited Penn State once. Hopefully it's a case of "last visit was the best" with him and we can get him to visit in April.

frick!!!

You'll be surprised how far the "I coached Tom Brady" line will go with young QBs. Even those with personal ties to a coaching staff elsewhere.

Yeah. I know. But Charlie Weis and Josh McDaniels both played that card when they were given control of programs and look how they've fared.

At some point analysts have to realize that Tom Brady makes his offensive coordinator and not the other way around. Hell, Weis had the greatest QB recruit of all time, Jimmy Clausen, and McDaniels had Sam Bradford in St. Louis, and neither was able to turn them into elite QBs.

Tom Brady is the reason for their success. I'm betting O'Brien won't be any different.

I mean, look at what Weis was able to do with 5-star QB Brantley at Florida this past season.

I can't be the only person to see this, can I?

It's a well orchestrated plan by the REC. We not only get UGa out of the way, we also make sure we land the #1 player in the state of Alabama once again.

Goddamn. I am so depressed about Hackenberg that I can't even take joy in Foster possibly transferring to an Alabama high school.

Why would he transfer there? They're a 3A school. Seems like he'd go somewhere bigger

Bradley Bozeman is there. Just take a look at the pictures, earlier in this thread, of them together on visits.

He's already ranked as one of the top two players in his class. What else could he accomplish by going to a bigger school?

He might have family there also.

Nothing to do with that. Just seems like he'd go somewhere where he could actually play good players
