How Beale street got such a good rep is beyond me. All my friends get bored as frick on Beale compared to Dickson when they come visit. Only cool thing about Beale is you can drink on the street of Beale.

It's eating this guy alive that DGB is out on Dickson right now with the football team and other recruits.
I'm sure you'll see me on twitter searching like crazy if he is in Columbia next weekend.
/sarcasm.

I was in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl in 09, place sucked, but of course it was like 20 degrees too.

Just a fair warning. There is a St. Louis Post Dispatch columnist who is studying fan behavior in regards to player recruitment and DGB is well the main attraction since he is not only the biggest name in the region, but nation.
Already wrote some about Mizzou fans. I don't like the guy, but don't be surprised if he doesn't jump on this as well.

Maybe it's because it's so early in the morning, but I am astonished by how mad you are.

If Trey Williams flips for some reason he will be a pariah here. He should seriously consider not dressing if we switch to home and home and moving his family to Fayetteville and out of Texas. I am scared for Twitter if for some reason he actually does it

I don't think he will flip

Yea dude my friends come into town and they go ok so what can we go do that's fun?
Im like.... Uh... Not shite. Well what about Graceland? I say well Graceland is in the middle of the projects so we can go there if you're feeling lucky. The town sucks so bad.

I go there often. But not usually before March. A lot of great music. I like staying close by so I can just valet my car and not worry about it the whole time. Never had a bad time on Beale.
I've only been to the French Quarters once. For Mardi Gras when I was 21. I didn't think I'd make it home alive after 6 days and 5 nights.

Neither do I, but the meltdown it setting up in classic fashion. Y'alls fans know how to handle a recruiting trip.

You can tell by how bad Cordale is wanting to get on campus.

This is the most talent we have ever had on a recruiting trip. This is also the most talent we have had a snowballs chance in hell with. We definitely did it right this weekend. Sold out basketball game, pep rally, catfish, pep rally, party on dickson, another pep rally.

I went to Graceland once. I couldn't get over fat old ladies crying. He's been dead for decades and they were acting like they lost their dearest friend.
From the time I spent in Memphis though, I'll take it over St. Louis. I lived in St. Louis City from 2001 to 2011. The area I was in was booming at first. Major housing renovations, new restaurants and bars springing up everywhere. Then after the big crash in 2007 it started going down hill badly.
A few weeks after I left, just a couple blocks away they found some woman's body in dumpster, some 70 year old guy was killed by teens playing this "knock out" game, as well as another shooting.
Our major bar district, Washington Ave, was taken over by thugs with shootings, auto thefts, etc. I felt much safer with the panhandlers off Beale.

Oh no doubt. I was in his shoes once going from Memphis to Fayetteville for the first time. It was a complete 180. I felt like the town had some sort of aurora around it. I loved it. First time on campus, well taking Razorback road exit I knew I was home and it was my first time.

I'd fire up my Camtasia on my computer and record the TexasAgs board meltdown.

If y'all keep winning like you have I think you have a great chance to get some major Texas talent. I don't think we'll recruit worse since we still do it well now and have been pretty damn mediocre on the field lately, but I think there will be more guys who would have gone Big 12 up for grabs in the future.
Having a great basketball atmosphere helped us the last few years as well but we're so shitty this year it doesn't matter

If somebody buys you a hooker, then she's really just a naked chick down to frick. Recruits love naked chicks dtf. Yuri wright would go so ham on a bitch right about now.

I could understand for people in their early twenties, Beale not having a lot of appeal. But as you get older, it is hard not to appreciate the good music.
My girlfriend was 24 at the time, and I took her down there last year for a weekend and she loved it.
