Nice excuse. Keep spinning.
Good thing we weren't more decimated by injuries than you were this year or anything...

Do you guys not remember prior egg bowl? Basking muffins recruiting and demanding a change? You go 6-6 in year 5 but beat ol TSUN and croot'n is back where it needs to be.

It didn't look very imminent on the field on Thanskgiving -- when MSU actually played more underclassmen than you did.
And as for this, we had a terrible game in a hostile environment, it happens sometimes.
Does it completely slip y'all's minds that we had 3 wins this year, 2 of them on the road, that were close to or better than any win Mullen has had in his tenure? Does the egg bowl bed shitting completely nullify that?

Recruiting is what it is. Speculation as to how the future will pan out with kids that have potential. Y'all are beating us there. I get it. (Notice I dont say WE get it because there are obviously outliers)
The only thing that is absolute is play on the field. Y'all have beat 1 "elite" program. LSU. Granted it is only in Freeze's second year. By Pank's game analysis, it took one of the worst games in LSU's recent history to win. (See State v. OM in the Egg Bowl, but I DGAF, a W is a W)
We will see how these recruiting classes pan out, but as you have all mentioned about Nutt and how there were problems with his classes, we will see how Freeze's classes pan out, but to say it is definite is a little asinine.

please tell us more about how you only recruit players to beat ole miss.
I guess aiming low in life may lead to happiness

You said you have faith in you recruiting because you have beaten OM on 4 out of the last 5 years even though we ranked higher than you in recruiting. Take away the players who aren't here and the players I listed earlier and state has the higher recruiting rankings. That's not spin. That's answering your logic

That's another thing that y'all are conveniently ignoring, by the way, and that's the simple truth that Freeze is a much better manager of the Ole Miss program than his two immediate predecessors.
Again -- an assumption that can't really be made 2 years in. It's really easy to retain players and keep them happy when they are seeing the field in key roles from day 1 -- and it's easy to recruit them on that basis. We will know this more conclusively when we see how he does when good players have to accept smaller roles and wait their turn for a few years.

No one was basking in Mullen's recruiting.

Freeze has two wins in his second year that are better than any Muffin has had in 5. You're killing yourself by talking

Oh yes, I remember all too well. Do you not remember Russell got hurt and Dak played the majority of the last 4 games and the outlook changed. Have our feelings on Mullen completely changed? NO. But having Dak instead of Russell makes things a lot better.

Do you think freeze can manage players better than Nutt an O ? If so then STFU.

What was your other marquee win again?
Please say Texas, please say Texas, please say Texas.

Wtf does that have to do with recruiting? Y'all had already named Dak a god before he took over the job. The hype would be the same.

I did not say marquee. I said better than any two wins Mullen had had

Sure. And I'm not 100% sold on Mullen -- I simply did what I said I would do if he managed to get us bowl eligible -- I got back on the fence. In fairness the Egg this year was his best win since 2010 -- and there is PLENTY for us to be excited about going forward. We PAID our DC who put together the best total defense at MSU since 1999 -- with a defense that for all intents and purposes loses no one. And our biggest complaints about Mullen disappear now that he isn't running a scat back up the middle or pounding the Tyler Russell square peg into a round hole. He's basically going to be better by default -- and even when he calls stupid shite -- there's a good chance Dak makes him look like a genius.
Feel free to revisit my thoughts from before this season -- when I always said it would be a survival year before 2014 and 2015 were going to be tremendous. I'm sure you still remember the conversations -- and I still feel the same way.

Engie has made the biggest transformation of all. He was the biggest doom and gloomier on the board halfway through the season and the most adamant Mullen defector. At one point he said "the only way Mullen wins me back is if we beat Arkansas and Ole Miss and have an upset of South Carolina to finish the regular season at 7-5, anything short of that and I still want him gone."
Well they did finish short of that goal and he seems just peachy. Does an Egg Bowl win really hold that much power?

Whatever you need to tell yourself to make you feel better about getting outdualed by a true freshman QB -- and then getting totally fricking annihilated by our starter and 2 WRs(all returning next year) for the final quarter.
Our program is trending up. You know this, I know this, the rest of the SEC knows this.
Losing the Egg Bowl sucked, but it wasn't like it killed our program or its momentum.

Yep. MSU's recruiting is terrible -- and the future is bleak.
Cool strawman. Where'd I say that exactly?
