It is my go to drink. I've tried several of them. Dads a big crown drinker. Mom too for that matter. She does crown and ginger. Whisky isnt for everyone. I have several friends who are more into beer, wine, and vodka/rum. I can't stand rum. Fine in some beach cocktail maybe once a year. The same with vodka.

I hear this is critical in the SEC. What are some of your top.selections for gameday?
pre noon just beer
afternoon- I really like trying a lot of different whiskeys and don't have any particular one I like. The best i'll drink on gameday is some gentlemen jack or crown reserve. But i'm just as likely to be drinking KD or some other god awful shite so I don't have to share.

What bars and what Bourbon?
If you go to 98% of bars and literally order a "Bourbon and Coke", that's what 98% of patrons order. If you go to Horse and Barrel or Bluegrass Tavern they may look at you weird because people go to those bars for the Bourbon selection. If you order a specific type of Bourbon and Coke, that's weird because, who cares, it's mixed with Coke.
The other 95% of the time, it's perfectly normal and it's what they sever to almost all their patrons.

I don't agree it's for women, but it is for people who don't like whiskey.

It happened to me at House and Barrel once. My brother and I moved there and went on a Kentucky Bourbon kick so we were ordering any specialty bourbon Lex has to offer
the other place was some lounge type place? Can't remember. But I was 20 with a fake ID so maybe that's what the look was about. Kudos to Lexington, awesome city. Loved Keeneland.

I still find the cheap stuff easiest to drink on the rocks. The thick, syrup quality is what makes it hard for me to drink mixed.

I always just shoot the cheap stuff. A drink a little coke to chase. I can handle several shots straight but I always end up sick unless I mix a little coke in there.

I literally can't do shots. I can't even do shots of water. I've tried. I can down some Bourbon on the rocks, though.

If your answer isn't woodford reserve, you're just fricking wrong. end of thread

If I'm taking shots it's only gonna be cheap stuff. I like to enjoy the good stuff

Drake's is way out off Tate's Creek Rd. Not really near any other bars. I lived right across the road from it last year. It's a restaurant during the day, but a bar at night. Very mixed crowd, but lots of milfs.

completely agree. as long as drinking out of the bottle doesn't count as a shot.
