The University of Arkansas baseball program started in 1897 and Chuck Tompkins was their first player to make it to the Major League level.
Did you know that there are thirty-eight former University of Arkansas players who made it to the show? Send corrections to Baseball Almanac.
The Razorback baseball program has been consistently challenging other teams since 1947, but prior to that date the team came and went (active in 1897, 1901-1903, 1905, 1908-1916, 1919-1929) for many reasons.
Mississippi State University's baseball program started in 1892 and Willie Mitchell was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Mississippi State University Hall of Fame.
Did you know that there are forty-three former Mississippi State University players who made it to the show? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.

Don't talk about football when your school is worse than Vanderbilt all time.

MSU would have been better off if Cohen suspended the season. Save MSU the misery of finishing at, or towards the bottom of the SEC yet again.

Doesn't sound like your coach likes it either.

Why you mad? Because our baseball program is better than yours?

Miss State would have to win 10 games per year for the next 6 years while Vandy would have to go winless in that amount of time in order for MSU to catch Vandy in all time wins.
Sad

Oh, right on the button. I long for the days of our program winning 9 SEC games a year over a 4 year stretch.

Vandy could go winless, but Ms. State will not win 10 games in a year for a loooooong time...
