they could have been- but asu's was better at the end of the day, esp their offense.

I do think Tennessee was more talented overall, but they quit. They weren't ranked no. 5 in teh country at the time they played LSU because they weren't talented. They didn't live up to their potential, though.

I just think it is hard to compare the circumstances between the 2 games. A new coaching staff installing a new scheme under extemely adverse conditions just doesn't work as a good comparison. Other than the blown lead, it just doesn't mean much. The circumstances are too different to give a meaningful comparison. If that is your only point, fine. LSU blew a lead, Alabama blew a lead. I don't think it is of much comfort to our Bama friends at any rate.

Because a game played in the middle of the week after two hurricanes all while the state and players are going through one of the biggest national disasters in the history of our country is the same thing as what happened today.

blew a massive halftime lead where they were dominating in every way. make excuses all you like. it is the same. so i remembered it wrong, it was 21-0, not 28-0. very similar.

About half of the starting defensive 11 for LSU were cramping before the half - that is what allowed UT to storm back. The players and fans were emotionally spent, and the players' preparation for that game was almost non existent.
