I've never been to Cleveland, MS in my life.

Not a big fan of the Delta.

To have a college in the town, Cleveland sucks. They might have like 2 bars there. That's about it. Nothing to do there. Hell they don't even have a movie theater in that town. Once I graduated high school, I moved off to Oxford and I barely made trips back. I was even more glad when my parents moved away from there in 2005.

My hometown of Brookhaven actually has a movie theater (4 screens)

Yeah. They use to have a 4 screen one in Cleveland. But they tore it down my Senior year. I still don't know why.

Now if you want to see a movie you have to drive to either Greenwood or Greenville or maybe Clarksdale.

Lots have changed since then with State and Ole Miss getting SEC tv money and good facilities Southern Miss can only dream about.

If you look at the history of the three schools playing each other you'd have to say yes USM would win. If I remember correctly USM has the most wins against Miss State and Ole Miss in the rivalry. I want to say that the last 15 times USM played Miss State they won 10.

Who in the SEC could Southern Miss beat?

I'm pretty sure that is the question that started the thread.

Right now I'd say USM would have a legit shot to beat Moo State, Kentucky, Ole Miss, maybe Tennessee.

"Southern Miss leads the overall series, which dates back to 1935, 14-12-1."

You conveniently left off the next sentence: The victory total included MSU forfeits in 1976 and 1977. So on the field it's MSU 14-12. Still close, though, so essentially it's an even series. State won the last two.
