"With the way Auburn is playing" narrative

Can we just do away with it? It seems like people are discounting the talent that this team has and attributing its success to "the way Auburn is playing." Nobody says "with the way (insert blue blood here) is playing." They just say NC is great. Duke is great. Kentucky is great. Can we not just say that Auburn is great? Or does everyone just think this is a "run" that will run its course? I dunno.. I think being in the final four is more than that. Just my two cents.

There's nothing wrong with being hot at the right time. Two of our recent final fours have us being hot at the right time. Don't be so defensive.

Almost every NCAA championship is won because of "the way the team is playing." A single elimination tournament favors a good team on a run. It's not an insult to your team or coach that they are playing their best ball in March. It's a compliment.

It's not necessarily being defensive, although I can understand why you would think that. It just seems to me that, regardless of how "hot" a team gets, it has to have the talent to back it up.

Auburn doesn’t have the overall talent of UNC, Kentucky, or Kansas (a healthy Kansas).
But they are hot.

First time watching the tournament? You’re a 5 seed so no we can’t just say Auburn’s great. This is a run but that doesn’t mean you can’t sit back and enjoy every minute of it and hope it ends with your team cutting down the nets.

Dude stop the whining and enjoy the moment. Who gives a flying squirrel turd what people say in regards to the way Auburn is playing. All the talk is flattering no matter how you slice it.

Not the first time. But fair enough. I suppose we don't have enough wins (or NCAA Tournaments) under our belts to ask for the same respect as other teams in the tournament. It was just a thought.

Auburn is playing great. They haven’t been playing like this consistently over many years, that’s the difference.
Regardless, congrats on advancing to the Final Four. Them boys have been ballin’ out and taking out the blue bloods one by one. Great win today!
