2007 means nothing to me, Miles had a team that was legit national title caliber and managed to lose to Kentucky and to Arkansas in the last game of the season at home. If anything it's a detriment to his ability.

Any team would have been a two loss team but LSU was the only to lose twice in triple overtime. Who should have been there in your masterfully ignorant opinion?

I'm an Auburn fan.

There is no argument you have advanced that supports your premise that Richt is better than Miles.

I posted numbers that show Richt has virtually the exact same record as Miles. Not sure how wins and losses are somehow irrelevant.

With the numbers being equal I give the nod to Richt as a better coach because UGA has excelled in his area of expertise while Miles supposed area of expertise has been LSU's bugaboo since he got there.

Also, Miles has made infinitely more bonehead in- game decisions than Richt (or any other coach in history) which is something that is really not even debatable. How often has LSU won in spite of his decisions?

Your use of the word "bugaboo" renders all of your opinions invalid.

No wonder you're irrational.

I'm not even saying LSU didn't deserve to be there, but it doesn't mean Miles did a good coaching job. Look at the talent on that team and tell me how else you lose to Kentucky and Arkansas other than not being prepared which is the coaches job.

Yet when presented with numbers where Miles exceeds Richt (as in National Championships and National Championship appearances) you discount them. Ridiculously disingenuous.

I agree. However, you cannot seriously say that Miles is better (I'd switch in a heartbeat, but that is only because I perceive a stagnant lethargy in Athens since 2007, which many others do not).

I think Richt is a great coach and good human being. I only give the nod to Les because of the HARDWARE which despite his successes, Richt has yet to achieve with a longer coaching history.

Because those things, at least in 2007, aren't indicative of the coaching job that was done. Miles won the national title in 2007 but I'd argue it was one of his three worst coaching jobs since he's been at LSU.

Last year Miles did a wonderful job in the regular season, better than Richt has ever done, but ultimately his team was completely unprepared to play in the biggest game of the season and his handling of the QB situation likely cost them a shot at a national title. With that said, Richt's handling of the QB situation in 2002 may have cost them the same.

I actually assumed he was a Bama fan. Hardlegging Saban would be too obvious.

And you can stay up all night chiming in and making an arse of yourself and you will still wake up a moron in the morning and each morning after that.

Again, I would like to see him in Athens (Miles), but that is due to the need for what I perceive to be a complacent aura, to be shattered.

As to longer coaching history, I have no idea as to who has been coaching longer.

Now you're backing off to a suitably defensive position. So you don't think the coach who has brought his team to the National title twice and has never lost an out of conference regular season game at LSU(cough Boise St.) is better than one who has always done a great job but never crossed that threshold?

Some people get it, some people don't, and some people don't want to.

They have been coaching the exact same amount of time. Miles was a .500 coach before taking over a powerhouse ready to explode.
