I grew up on the Texas coast, south of Houston. Definitely hot muggy nights there during the late spring, summer, and early fall. We were surrounded by rice fields so had lots of huge mosquitoes too… our small town malathion mosquito fogger trucks would periodically slowly fog the neighborhood, with the not-so-bright boys riding their bikes right behind the fogger machine inhaling the insecticide…
