he had a torn ACL and chose to play. He obviously was kicking in pain and also had to run to make the play should the runner get past the defenders. You are not too bright I see. Are you a millennial?

I never said they were the same positions. But punting with a torn ACL has to be problematic. ONe can play with a meniscus tear as it then becomes a pain management issue.

didn’t get kicked for the initial post. I got kicked when he got re injured it and I reminded everyone about what I had said. I don’t want a congratulations I want Bama fans to see the potential downside to this. We have a voice as fans. I get Tua may want to play, but the coaching staff should have been responsible and sat him all week.

The only person that should make this call is Saban, Tua’s a great kid and would sit the rest of the season if Saban recommended it. Saban has a terrible history of playing all of his players injured.

The thread is about Saban playing injured players.

Other people don't know who that punter played for.

See the point dumbarse?

can you post a link to NS playing hurt players who were told by the medical staff that they were not cleared medically? At this stage of the season all players have nagging injuries. If you were to sit every player who had a nagging injury the you would be playing mostly walkons.

Bama has about 5-6 kids who are out for the season already. I don't see NS making those kids play do you?

yes I see your point but my comment was pertaining to injured players who play through the pain and playing through an ACL is a lot tougher then playing through a knee sprain which was the OP's point. So what you are saying is that someone should never say something in a thread that does not relate to the OP. If that was the case then all threads should be deleted.

Look up your own list of bama players having surgeries, season ending injuries and entering the league stigmas.

So then why did the coaching staff allow him to play? I don’t care if they kid wanted to play, part of coaching is being responsible with your players. I tore my ACL and meniscus in highschool football. I wanted to play but I couldn’t even fricking walk. So you’re saying if I played at Bama they would have let me play if I wanted to?

Because they literally can’t play. Their knees and other joints are literally fricked right now.

so you are saying an ACL and a meniscus are the same type injury? ONe you can play through with pain, and the other is almost impossible to play through.

My son had a meniscus tear and could have played through it but he chose to have surgery and was able to play after 5 weeks of rehab.

Sad that the guy comes in making valid points and his bama brethren continue to throw insults at him.
