Nutt + Expectations = Disaster
I used to fully agree with this, but I did a tad bit of research relating to the 07 season. In 2007 Arky was preseason ranked #21. Not 9 or 17 but 21. So what was he expected to do that year? Win the SEC with yes two outstanding RB's but a mediocre at best D and a turd for a QB? He went 8-4 in the regular season. Most teams ranked in the 20's at the end of a regular season are 8-4 which is only 2 losses more than more than over half the teams in top 10. Then when a fan decided to fly a banner over the stadium before a game that read "Arkansas deserves better. Fire Nutt!" Did he fold, or bitch? No, he beat the NC team in their own house. Also when Saban left y'all for Miami, the man he recommended the Athletic Department hire was Houston Nutt. Saban may be evil but he certainly knows a good coach when he sees one.

Judging from your reasoning that you are saying that you were going to beat us solely because "we are Ole Miss"
No, I am saying that because we are Auburn, we're better than you, always have been, always will be. Sure, you will catch us in a down cycle and manage a win, but for the most part we beat y'all like a rented mule. Face it, you can buy into all the hype that surrounds y'all this year, but the fact remains that y'all are Ole Piss.

Typical Ole Miss Fan, win by 10 and we "killed" y'all. I was at that game sport model, if we had had any semblance of offense, our horrible football team would have won that game.

Y'all were preseason ranked 7 not 21. Y'alls defense wasn't bad either it was just that stupid co-Dc system set up by Miles. I have never thrown out that Lee was a dipshit fricked y'alls season up.

You really are the cockiest SOB on these boards aren't you.... maybe minus HawgAlude, but he is just a downright idiot. Auburn won't beat Ole Miss this year, since yall won't be good or be even close to contending the SEC Championship game. Arkansas will be better than yall. If you're expecting to be an SEC contender next year, get your head out of your arse and look around you.
Also kill was alittle bit of sarcasm since we beat LSU, State (definitly them), and TT much worse than yall. And speaking of MSU, 3-2 last year. Yall played the single worst game ever played, a team we had 24-0 at the end of the first quarter. Congratu-fricking-lations.

I did, and they didn't look like a bunch of scrubs they looked like a bunch of 4 star recruits with co dc's who didn't know what they were doing.

Using your logic, shouldn't you have beaten a team that could only beat State by 1 point by more than 10? Didn't your team sputter up and down the field against one of the worst Auburn teams I have seen in 44 years?
You beat LSU in a down year and beat an overrated Texas Tech team, wow, I'm impressed. Look, I understand you are excited because the national media is pumping y'all up and lets be honest, nobody has talked about y'all since Tuberville left and Manning graduated. It's exciting, but I hope you are ready for the inevitable crash that is coming.

A hell of a good recruiter, can excite his players, speaks english, but he can make some stupid arse calls.
Ask Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Georgia Tech if he made some stupid arse calls.

This belongs here too:
His last 6 years at Arkansas he had 6 first rounders, 7 second rounders, and 32 drafted in rounds 1 - 7. That's almost 6 per year, excluding free agents.
That isn't "monumental" but is in the top half of the SEC.
Point being:
1)He can recruit. He just goes after too many "diamonds in the rough" and classes drop between 20 and 40. Most do not pan out.
2)Houston doesn't do more with less. That's a bullshite, cliche catchphrase that in no way whatsoever is backed up by statistical evidence. To the contrary, stats show that he takes more and does less.
In his last 6 years he had the SEC All-Time rushing QB in Matt Jones, a 5,100 APY gentleman by the name of Felix Jones, the SEC's 2nd leading rusher in Darren McFadden, Pro Bowler Shawn Andrews, Pro Bowler Ken Hamlin, Rimington Trophy winner Jonathon Luigs, 32 draft picks, 6 first rounders, on and on and on.....
Yet in that time frame he lost to Vandy twice, had an abysmal road record, a losing record to the top 25, a 4 win season, a 5 win season, and went 1-3 in lower tier bowls, went .500 in the SEC, on and on and on......
(And, no, going to Atlanta twice in 11 fricking years, once thanks to a Bama probation, both trips by tie-breaker, doesn't strike me as amazing.)

By the way, no where did I say we would be an SEC contender, however, I am hoping for a 7 -8 win season. I said we would be y'all.
