Not really. I believe there was even a thread that mentioned Kelly's interest in the NFL.
Kelly left Notre Dame because he could not win the big games. Will he stick around LSU if he doesn't win the big games there? I don't know. He jumped once for that reason, he might again.

Notre Dame just can’t recruit the kind of athletes southern schools can. Lou Holtz had the academic standards lowered for his football program- something none of hid non-national championship successors were able to do.
Regarding your “major upset”- do you think it had anything whatsoever that our defensive starters had more snaps played than any defense in the conference? Not taking anything away from your Super Bowl, but perhaps our guys were a little gassed due to roster depth?

Really revealing your ignorance of the LSU/Kelly contact. Even if the LSU job somehow soured, at his age and with the huge buyout LSU would owe him, he would never coach again. He would be able to spend life on the beach with Coach O but with about 4x the money.
