I'm really trying to find just find any scenario where he can do it here. He just doesn't have it and it is all mental.

Yep. He is a very good coach, but he is not good enough to win the title. He just isn't.

That is fine I just hope the brass in Fayetteville doesn't keep him if he let's the program slide and give him a coach for life title here when he hasn't won multiple titles. That would be so Arkansas.

But he has been here 20 years and his biological clock is ticking.

He has nothing to show for it. What is it, one SEC title? Nobody gives a shite about conference titles, but he doesn't win those either.

College baseball seems to be weird. Sullivan was considered THE choker (well after Mike Martin ) yet we somehow won 2017 with a batting average of less than .200 in Omaha and our best pitcher not throwing in the championship series.

He is a program builder and got Arkansas to the next level. He is now able to sustain that level but he can't get over the hump.

I don't want him fired or anything but I have seen these type of coaches that begin to get older and more stubborn. The results get worse because the coach at 88 years of age believes he can still win it. I don't believe Dave will do that and I will say he will probably retire within the next five years.

They will not win “the most hated biggest douche bag team of the year award” that’s Tennessees for a while now

Not all coaches are the same and it is all mental. Some have it between the ears and some don't.

I doubt they'll fire him but I wish they would while we have Yurachek to upgrade us at the spot.

After the firing of Mike Anderson I have changed my thinking on this stuff. Yurachek hasn't whiffed on a hire yet and if we just went ahead and cut bait with Van Horn he would find someone better. I have complete trust in that.

Yuracheck was a lucky hire. We had a bunch of dummies that picked him. Fate must had played nice that time.

Unfortunately Yuracheck won't be here long enough to make that hire. Which means the dumbasses on the hill will hire a dumbass AD and in turn, pick a dumbass hire.

It isn't so much cutting ties with DVH and finding someone better but when you stay at one place 20 or 30 years, people get tired of it and the coach will have worn out his welcome. It was the same with Mark Richt and Georgia. I thought it was a bad move but after some discussions with Georgia fans and they just wanted new blood. I understood it better. Richt was never going to win it at Georgia and they made the move before he let it slide.
