Actually there are a lot of quarterbacks who hail from Pennsylvania. Montana, Namath, Marino, Jim Kelly. Would be interested to know the dynamic there.

QB is becoming like Tennis (or even baseball now.) Be fairly well off and afford to groom them from an early age. The QB's mentioned above played at a different time when it wasn't like that.

It's talking about current recruiting in the SEC...and where the Pro high school QBs are coming from the last few years...while the SEC is putting mostly athletes at QB.

NO I didn't need to really. Let's just say History repeats itself. Manning will win # 2 this year. You have to look at the competition first.

Here are 2 separate examples of how people get fooled about "Where people are from" - I mean the parents of these players. I look people like Phil Sims as an example. He was was from Ky. His kids were "from" NJ? Really? Those genetics were all KY. How about OJ Simpson? Where were his people from? Where your "people are from" is where you are from, I don't give a shite where you were raised. there are countless examples of this in history of the NFL.

The last sentence in that article explains the motivation for the article

They need at least one area they can still claim football superiority over the South.

People outside of the SEC hates us so much they desperately try to find anything they can say they're better than us at...

i wish Mississippi would produce a good quarterback for once. You know, someone like Bret Farve, Steve Mcnair, or Jason Campbell. That would be swell. Or maybe one of our colleges could produce a good one like Eli or Archie Manning.
