1. Last season isn’t this season
2. LSU game was a fluke. See SEC championship in comparison with LSU vs Bama blowout.
3. 8 players were out for Texas game and Georgia didn’t want to be there
4. LSU beat Texas but that doesn’t prove they are BETTER than Georgia. It just proves they have a better win so far.
5: It doesn’t really matter because if LSU is indeed better than Georgia it will be obvious by the end of the year.

Ranking really don’t mean shite at this point. Why do you think the CFP ranking don’t come out til mid season? No one really knows how things are going to shake out yet, or who really belongs where.

UGA is loaded with talent and only boosted that talent in the off-season with the acquisition of another superb recruiting class. We were good last year and should be even better this year. Yes, we lost badly on the road to LSU, but we also kicked in Bama's teeth until the backup came in and took over for them in the SECCG. The game against Texas means nothing towards our ceiling because it was obvious that the team mailed it in after being so close to another playoff berth. Texas wasn't the better team on the field that day; They just had more to play for.
As others have said, early season rankings mean little to nothing. Win your games and it doesn't matter.
